“An comfy place”
Reviewed April 12, 2011

We were very pleased with our stay here. For the price we paid (47.20 per room) it was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were firm but comfy. The flat screen TV's were better than the bulky box sets at some hotels. The in-room coffee pot was well stocked with sugars and creamers. The staff was courteous and polite. Breakfast was not elaborate but okay (eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, etc.) If you're looking for fancy, this is not it. If you're looking for a good, comfortable place to stay, this is it.

This is by far the best hotel in amarillo for the price but worth double. I have stayed at a ton of hotels all over the US and this is the cleanest, and the most friendly staff&management you could ask for. I have been treated horribly by multiple by alot of the surrounding hotels, a little respect to a paying customer is all i ask and almost all others act like my wife and i are nothing but a inconvience. I will never stay at any other hotel in Amarillo. Thank u Days Inn, proof that humanity
remains in this world. Nee and Rooh

Booked this hotel through hotels.com. Paid $78.84 after all was said and done for a 2 queen room. Arrived around 9pm and check in was fine. I asked for a first floor room, but none was available. The room was rough around the edges. The room smelled of chemicals. The beds were hard as rocks. All of the rooms are outside access. We were able to hear everything around us. The bathroom was insanely cramped. I am 5'9" and the shower head was at roughly eye level. The towels were small and thin. However, the water pressure was excellent and the hot water was plentiful.
The breakfast was not good. They had biscuits and gravy, sausage and scrambled eggs as well as cereal and toast. The biscuits were still cold in the middle. The gravy was fine, but obviously from a box or pouch. The sausage was sitting out on the counter the whole time before being cooked, so I wasn't about to try that or the eggs. The juice was good.
The "business center" was a desk with a computer stuck in a corner.
We noticed tons of hotels driving in advertising cheaper rates, so there has to be something better out there.

I made the reservation online, at the Days Inn website, but at check-in the clerk refused to honor the price on the reservation, saying that the corporate database had the tax amount incorrect. I protested & he said he'd have to call the corporate office but that they would just put him on hold, & there were other people in line behind me. Against my better judgment I checked in (the additional amount was only a dollar or so more, but the principal makes me mad.) When he gave me the room keys he announced the room number loudly, violating any principal of security. The room itself had problems, w/ a hole in the bathroom wall showing exposed wires, a hole in the wall under the sink, etc. ONLY upside was the breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel on our vacation and were very pleased with this hotel. The price was good at $61.00 and the hotel was very clean. The staff was extremely friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

This place is priced like it's a 4 star hotel, but deserves less than one star. Rooms were old and the beds were like sleeping on concrete (ended up sleeping on the floor). Tv had terrible reception and . I've stayed at several hotels in amarillo and I highly recommend the super 8 east off the I-40--is by far the best bang for the buck (paid $58 for two queens) beats the heck out of Days Inn at $85+ and the beds are nice and soft!!!

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend. Due to a conference in town they only had 1 room left with 2 beds and it was a smoking room. We were charged $129.99 plus tax which totaled $150.55. That was more than the several other more expensive hotels that we had checked for that type of room, and the Days Inn isn't near as nice as those places. The chart on the door said our room was only supposed to cost $99 and even the suites were only $110. It was rediculous how much they charged just because all the other hotels were booked. I would rather sleep in my car next time.
