By Marfa standards, this place is a palace, reasonably priced, and only 15 minutes out of town. We spent 2 nights at the El Paisano in Marfa, 1 night at El Cosmico in a Safari Tent, and our last night here. I think if we had to do it over again we would still spend 2 nights in Marfa and 2 nights here. It was really worth it for the amenities of modern civilization - internet, good bathroom, good bed, good aircon. Seriously amazing breakfast spread with make your own waffles. WooHoo!

My husband and I really like staying at Hampton Inns because of their consistent comfort and quality. The Hampton Inn in Alpine did not disappoint. However earplugs are suggested. The heating/cooling system noisily cycles on and off at regular intervals, and people walking in the hallways above also create quite a bit of noise.

The internet in the hotel was decent, but a bit sluggish and dropped my VPN within the first 5 minutes. Overall, it was quite respectable.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

When researching a trip to the Big Bend area of Texas it quickly become apparent that there aren't many attractive choices for a place to stay, and most of them were already full when I booked our trip. We came into town from the east after driving up from Big Bend National Park, and the hotel is on the far west side. It's so far you'd think you'd left town and missed it, apparently a mistake others have made because there's a sign that tells you to keep going. Like the entire region it's a bit hardscrabble, but the room was nice and the breakfast buffet better than most. Just a bit pricier than the area would warrant, I think, but not outrageous.

Our room was spacious and clean, there were lots of choices at breakfast, and our kids loved the indoor pool. The staff was very helpful and we would reccomend the Hampton Inn in Alpine to any of our friends traveling to the Big Bend area. We had an awesome Spring Break, and have ticked another National Park off of our list.

Room Tip: We're a family of five and got a studio room with two double beds and it was huge! We even sprea...

This was a wonderful place to stay while visiting West Texas. We drove a total of 675 miles from home to Alpine, and were glad to see the Hampton Inn!! Jeremy Brown was friendly and helpful at the front desk, and told us of the neat things to see and good places to eat. Great overall experience.

Huge bathrooms, tall awesome showerheads, nice towels, awesome breakfast, and soft beds. The one problem we experienced was the bathroom door didn't latch shut or lock. you could close it, but it wasn't secure. With the layout of the room it wasn't really a problem, but it is a negative I had to mention. Loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat. Oh and the conditioner is great!
