Description: Named for Master Chef Antonio Avona, Antonio Ristorante has been serving authentic Italian cuisine since 1998. Creating truly wonderful dishes for over thirty years, Chef Avona continues to impress with his daily specials. His inspiration comes from his roots in Italy where he began training as a chef over forty years ago. Using only the freshest ingredients, Chef Avona's menu offers a diverse selection of pasta, steak, veal, chicken, and fresh fish which changes daily. Antonio also offers an Award Winning Pizza menu including Capricciosa, Margherita, and more. For wine afficianados, the wine list features an extraordinary selection of Italian wines, all very reasonably priced with many served by the glass. Open Monday through Friday for lunch, and seven nights a week for dinner, Antonio invites you to enjoy their excellent wait staff and warm dining room ... or linger long on the marvelous outdoor patio. It's like spending an afternoon or evening in Tuscany!

It's hard not to like Antonio but it is hard to rave about it as well. It's somewhere between very good and average leaning more to average. Terrific outdoor area - often too hot to eat there though. The prices are great - most dishes are absolutely affordable. The wine is a little on the high side but this seems to be the case everywhere. Ambiance pleasant - nothing special. Service attentive. Everything about this restaurant is pleasant but not memorable.

We went for an early supper and decided to sit outside. The breeze was welcomed and we got to people watch while we ate. Our server was very friendly and service overall was top notch. As others have stated, the bread and olive oil is wonderful; we ate a while basket full. We got a wedge salad and mini eggplant parm for appetizers; which were delicious. Our entrees were also tasty and were served generously.

Salmon and salads were great. The place is very nice on the inside, and has an outdoor dining area too.

This is a quaint little Italian Restaurant with a small bar area located in busy Addison in Addison Circle. They have complimentary valet - there's rarely a parking space.

I had lemon caper chicken with a small green veggie souffle and one martini. With tip, my bill was almost $50. The waiters were very well trained and on top of things until they gave us the bill. Once we paid, yet kept chatting, we were virtually ignored. We did get our water filled up once more, I believe. Food was good.

I and my family visited Antonio Ristorante a couple of nights ago. Even though we did not have reservations (we live in the neighborhood and just walked over to check it out), the hostess found us a table almost immediately. The waitstaff were attentive and cordial. The menu was varied and had a great selection of basic and innovative Italian specialties. The food was rich, sumptuous, plentiful, and--of course--delicious. The prices are a little higher than comparable places in the neighborhood, but this is definitively going to be one of our new "special" places to celebrate!
