This hotel looks like it might have been an Embassy Suites at some point. The front room has a pull-out sofa, dining table and chairs, wet bar, fridge, and microwave. The bedroom has its own sink and a wardrobe. Add in the sink in the bathroom and you have three separate sinks, very convenient for five people getting ready for the day. The suites have a windowed front covered by drapes.
We were happy to find a hotel where all five of us could share a room: There was room in the front room for our blow up mattress.
The only odd thing about our non-smoking room was the smoky smell as you entered. The smell wasn't evident further back in the room, but just at the door. On our last night, we figured it out: Our room, 201, was right around the corner from the smoking rooms, and the smell was being blocked but absorbed by our drapes. If you don't want to be anywhere near smoke, you'll need to ask to move.
They provided at least a half-dozen wifi access points around the sprawling building, but internet access was spotty and inconsistent, regardless of which one you connected to.
Breakfast was ticketed. I was given a punch card for each person in our party. You show your card, and they scratch out the number of that day of the month. They will cook omelets and they have pancakes, bacon, sausage, and biscuits, but these are served to you. Fruit, coffee, juice, milk, cereal, soda, bagels, pastries, and yogurt are available for self-service. Breakfast is in one of the atriums, which is decorated like a Spanish plaza with a fountain in the middle.
The guest laundry has two washers and two dryers. You pay to use them, but I was given complimentary detergent and dryer sheets at the front desk.
My oldest son enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We would have liked to make use of the games -- ping pong, billiards, and foosball were all available -- but we were spending most of our time out of the hotel with relatives. I could imagine spending a day just relaxing in the hotel
We were pleased and impressed enough to book a hotel in the same chain at our next stop.
