Capt. Jim offers a variety of cruises. We took the Harpeth River cruise and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Capt. Jim is a relaxed kind of guy, and you just float along, listen to cd's, have a cold drink and enjoy the scenery. He's knows the river and points out areas of special interest. Most of the passengers seemed to be locals, who were happy to chat and share information about living in this area. I would recommend this tour to anyone traveling to the Nashville area. It's about 30 minutes out of Nashville and currently boards in River Bluff Park. Time and weather permitting, the park would be a great place for a picnic.

He serves soft drinks and chips. If you prefer, you can bring your own food and beverage of choice. There is a bathroom on the boat.

Very reasonable prices. Our cruse was all adults, but some of the tours are geared towards children.

Thanks for your review and positive comments.

It's really neat to watch the passengers on our cruises. They chat across the aisle and point out interesting sights to each other. We've seen a lot of people board as strangers to each other, and leave as friends. Sometimes two couples or families will discover they're all heading to Riverview Restaurant after the cruise, and decide to eat together!

You did a good job of describing our casual scenic cruises. Hope you can join us again soon.
