“Great family campground”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

My wife and I stayed here Memorial Day. The owners had a cookout and it was a great way to meet the friendly owners along with the other guests. The campground was small, and the sites close to each other. However, it was very nice and people were courteous and quiet. They have a nice pool and a wading pool for the young-ones. Also there is a large fire pit, volleyball net, foosball, bean bag toss and other things to do in the center of the campground.

Room Tip: All the sites are about the same. Choose your site based on if you want morning or evening sun. Nice...

The new owner's of Deep Valley have created an awesome family friendly atmosphere! We have stayed at Deep Valley several times in the past 2 years and the owner's keep improving on a this already great campground. We have always stayed in the cabin and it is a perfect getaway for our family. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the campground regulars are very welcoming. The pool is great, my kids love the outdoor games and activities. It is a very laid back and relaxing atmosphere! I would recommend this campground to everyone!

Room Tip: The cabin is great, we have never tent camped here, and we do not own a camper or RV, but the other...

If you want quiet, then this is a destination worthy of travelling to. Me and the wife wanted to get away from post and find somewhere away from the city and just unwind. Well we found it a little over a year ago, and now, it truly is our "Home away from home." Pete and Shari, the owners, as well as their manager Becky, truly do make this a destination worth the trip. Kids are never seen as a nuisance as well as the adults. A lot of improvements have been made in this short year that we have been visiting the campground, and every time we arrive, there's something new to see.
If you want to experience the original social networking again, then please, get out there and just do it. This is THE campground that truly makes you forget the daily life struggles and the cell phones and the traffic lights.
We just left for Memorial Day Weekend 2014, and when we left, had already booked our late June week with the kids.
If there is a slice of heaven here on Earth, then Deep Valley Campground hits as close to it as possible.

New owners as of 2013. Cell phone, internet, and many other services have now been enhanced. I love how safe I feel letting my children play because there is one 1 way in and out of the campground. We have become such good friends with the new owners that we hang out at times other than camping!

I visited Deep Valley for a family reunion this summer and was nothing but impressed with all aspects of the campground. The long term campers were friendly and welcoming. The owner catered to our every need with a smile on his face. There were so many things to do including shuffleboard, volleyball, hiking, horseshoes, corn hole. My nieces and nephew were entertained all day long as was I. You can even go to the neighboring property (a short but beautiful walk through the woods) and catch a trout from the trout farm. The owner preps the fish for a tasty meal. My entire family and I were so impressed we have decided to return next year for our family reunion. Who knows, this may turn out to be an annual visit. Thanks Deep Valley!

We came to try Deep Valley campground on recommedation from a friend that it was a friendly, quiet, and an overall nice campground. When we arrived and for the first day of our weekend this was true. However, shortly after though the owner/operator of the campground quickly showed us another side as well. The campground has very strict rules, which although some seeming a little extreme were not that big of deal. The problem was that they were not enforced fairly too all guest present. Only when it seemed it was convenient to the owner/operator. Drunks were yelling and horse playing in the pool and the worst of all is that the manager was extremely rude! The pool closes at 7:00 pm and all visitors must leave by that time as well. A little extreme and inconvenient, but the rule wasn't the problem; it was how the manager tried to enforce this rule while being extremely ugly and insulting to guest who knew nothing of this rule at the time!! I have never been talked to in such a way by a business owner! Camping is supposed to be a time to build bonds with family and friends, not have your weekend ruined by appalling behavior. Needless to say I will never be back to this campground and will hope others can avoid this same type of experience as well.
