Our stay at Synthadox was more than we ever expected, will definately be returning, Thank You Mike..
Not as expected to say the least. It's almost a 2 mile drive along a beaten down trail into the woods (not a road). The closest neighbor is over a mile away. The driving trail is only one vehicle wide with trees rubbing your vehicle on both sides and top, sometimes leaving marks. The trail is stone and rocks with periodic dropoffs on the side both left and right. If you have a normal vehicle (Accent or Focus size), chances are very good that the rocks may cause damage to bumpers or undercarriage. Found out 2 days before that you have to cross a creek. Not over or under, but drive THROUGH the creek. It's about 12 ft wide and about 4 inches deep on a dry day. Not sure how much it swells when it rains. No cell service until you get back out to highway. Trail may not be big enough for emergency vehicles. When you arrive you will see the unphotographed back side of cabin with overgrown weeds and unusable stairs. Cabin backs onto Standing Stone park; which we found out after the fact that there are Black Bears, Bobcats, Snakes and Coyotes throughout the park and lots of bugs at night. Were given wrong direction to access the lockbox and could not find it in the dark. After finding out that we were deep into the woods and after taking the trail once, we left and never returned. We were expecting a cottage but instead found an old Hunter's shack deep into the woods. I would say that it's buyer beware; book at your own discretion. And maybe have a plan B in effect.
The setting for the property was very secluded tranquil waterfall Spring fed creek great trails the house needs some updating but a great stay overall
