Seemed to be recently updated. Tucked away in a relatively quiet spot in an extremely busy area near the airport. Stayed one night on business and found the whole place to be quiet and relaxing. It is simply unacceptable, however, for a three star hotel not to have flat-panel LCD sets in all rooms.

All the bed linens stink and management will not replace. Poor heating and cooling system. Cheapest Courtyard I have ever been in.

We stayed in this hotel only one night and had a great stay. You could tell upon arriving at the hotel that it was very nice. The lobby, restaurant, bar area, and the rooms all appeared to be modern and new.

The room was well laid out, with nice, modern furniture. The bed, pillows, and sheets were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and updates. The towels were soft. Generally, it was the type of quality you'd expect from a Marriott property.

We had breakfast at the restaurant in the morning. It was reasonabilty priced and very good.

My only complaint was the television in our room. Not only was it an old-style, tubed televsion, but the channels were extremely fuzzy. It was a shame because I wanted to watch some football and ESPN was really fuzzy. It's time to update to an HD plasma and some decent cable.

The hotel is very close to the airport - maybe 10 mins walking (But impossible due to big road). They offer free shuttle which runs on request - very efficient. The room is a standard courtyard room - well maintained and clean with standard amenities. Average but not bad. They offer free Wireless internet! Staff is very friendly and helpful

The mattresses reminded me of $150 showroom specials: my first thought was "they're just simple foam", but foam mattresses conform to the body better than cheap innerspring mattresses like this do. It's not the quality I expect from a Courtyard and it's nowhere near the other hotel mattresses I've slept on recently. The sheets were badly frayed. Pillows were a mix of synthetic and natural fibers, but the natural ones were also cheap: I got poked by a feather in the middle of the night.

Otherwise, the room was fine. Very modern furnishings: two-part desk, marble bathroom, mediocre adjustable desk chair, two phones, refrigerator. Wired and wireless net, both free. Several accessible power outlets at both the desk and bedside. Free parking. They have a park-and-fly option, but I'm unsure of the details.

Inside swimming pool, outside whirlpool. Minimalist fitness center: two treadmills, an elliptical machine, and a minimal set of free weights, but no weight bench, no bike, and no strength machines.

The guest laundry room has only one washer ($1.75/load) and one dryer ($1.25/30 minutes).

Within plausible but uncomfortable walking distance of the airport, the hotel has a shuttle running every 15 minutes (or, in times of low occupancy, on demand). There's a Ruby Tuesday in front of the hotel, and a few other things are in plausible walking distance, but this place doesn't have location going for it. Rooms on the front of the building (odd numbered rooms) may get flashes from the airport's navigation beacon.

If only for the better bedding, I'd stay at the Hilton next time.

Thank you for choosing the Courtyard by Marriott Knoxville Airport Alcoa for your lodging needs. I apologize that you did not rest well during your last stay at our hotel. On property each of our guest rooms has the Courtyard by Marriott-exclusive mattress and box spring.
While most find the Courtyard Bed very comfortable and relaxing it may not meet the needs of all our guests. Our Housekeeping Manager has reviewed your comments and has conducted an inventory of Mattress/Linens to ensure they are in good condition. We sincerely thank you for sharing your opinions as we continue to do our best to provide great service.

This was my second stay at this hotel and it didn't disappoint either time. It's located off the busy Alcoa Highway, and just across that from McGhee Tyson Airport but it's set back from the road so is quieter than you might think. It's close to several restaurants, but it's hard to beat the minute or two walk to the Ruby Tuesday in front of the property. The hotel's newness shows, with the rooms nicely decorated. The desk was comfortable and there were plenty of power plugs to recharge all the electronic gadgets. The wired and wireless Internet were easy to connect to. Even-numbered rooms are on the back side (away from the airport) and are particularly quiet. There's a welcoming lobby that includes a business center and small bar. Room rates are reasonable and a good value. The only negative I can think of is that the room TVs are CRT models (non-flat screen), so no HD channels.

Very nice Courtyard Property.

It includes a small bar (that was open until 10:00 on the Weds. night that we were there), a business center out in the lobby (not a cramped room) and a friendly and courteous staff.

Very convenient to the airport. Rooms were large, modern and the shower even included a seat/ledge.

Ruby Tuesday's is in walking distance to the property. Hotel featured a continental breakfast for $6.99 and a hot breakfast with "Made to Order" eggs for $9.99

In a safe location, very close to the airport.
