“Good quality seafood”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

The smoked salmon dip is very good. More like a spread than a dip. The She Crab Soup is EXCELLENT as far as spices. Very, very tasty, but extrememly unhappy with the consistency. Very thin, like milk. Not at all creamy. For the price I would have expected more. Again, the flavor was excellent.

“Seafood Store”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

Not only can you get the freshest seafood in Maryville, but they also will cook things on the premises and they know how to prepare seafood. This place is one of the best for seafood.

“Great, freshly cooked seafood”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

I eat lunch here as often as I can. Everything I have ordered has been very good. The Po' Boys are difficult to eat so I get the various platters. They will cook up just about anything you want that they have. The fried fish is lightly breaded and seasoned just right. The only other place that I have had seafood this good is on the coast in Florida where I grew up. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for good, fresh seafood.

“Fantastic food. So-so setting and atmosphere.”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

Although I've had better seafood, the only places better have been on the Gulf Coast. This place has as good quality of seafood as any inland place at which I have eaten. I had the oyster po-boy. I would recommend the oyster plate instead. There are too many oysters to make eating the po-boy as a sandwich feasible. Plus the oysters are the treat. The dressing on the sandwich only detracted from the oysters. It is sometimes difficult to find oysters at all this far inland, but especially difficult to find really good oysters. The Shrimp Dock came through big time.

The Shrimp Dock doesn't seem to be primarily designed as a restaurant, although that seems to be their main source of income now (due to the good food). It seems to have been primarily designed as a source for fresh, uncooked seafood. There are perhaps eight small round tables (rather high) with four bar stools at each table. It really isn't a great setting for a couple looking for a romantic outing, and it isn't even the most relaxing setting for anyone else. But the food is fantastic, which is the main draw.
