“Beautiful and comfortable”
Reviewed May 30, 2011

We loved our two night stay at Ros Hill Estate. We were in town for a Saturday wedding that took place in their lovely garden. The hosts were very accommodating to us and our two well behaved children, ages 8 and 10. We reserved two rooms at the back of the house, the kids room had two twin beds and our room was actually two with a king bed in one and a queen in the adjoining room and shared a very large hallway bathroom with them. Our bed was so comfortable, I didn't wake up once. There is air conditioning and also a fan in the room. The price was reasonable considering all the space we had, the delicious homemade breakfasts, the huge yard that the kids enjoyed exploring, and the gorgeous old house.

We could walk to the downtown shops but it felt like it's own far-away oasis.

See my photos. I had such fun checking out the entire house. This is a fabulous place for a wedding with so many versatile indoor and outdoor options.

Room Tip: Rooms over kitchen may be less noisy if event on

We have just returned from a week of horse showing at Highfield's. We had rented the property cottage plus rooms in the main inn. Everyone in our group were very pleased with their accommodation. The staff were wonderful, helpful and took the time to make our stay special. The grounds and buildings are rich in history and beautiful to walk around. What a treasure in downtown Aiken! The restaurant was great, the whole stay memorable.

A unique hidden gem. I arrived in Aiken with my pooch and was welcomed warmly at Rose Hill and enjoyed a wonderful stay. My hosts the Muellers were charming and ingenuous. I was pleased to be able to bring my hound to dine in the outside beergarden.
This lovely home is on the National Historic Register and has many hidden gardens to stroll through. Imagine yourself as part of the old Winter Colony set!! A place to fall in love with AIken!!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Rose Hill. The rooms are charming and the beds were quite comfortable with lots of bedding. The bathrooms were very clean and all the facilities worked just fine. When we checked in the owner, Steve, was very pleasant and appeared to be assessable, if needed.
The grounds are lovely and my husband and I were able to walk to town every night. We did not eat at the restaurant, but the bartender was fabulous. She let us sample a few of her new drinks. Delicious!
