We stopped here on a recommendation from the Aiken Vistor center thinking we would spend an hour or so. Well guess what...there is enough here to keep you busy for a day and it is free! It is a combination of the original 3500 sq. ft. house and a 14,000 sq. ft. addition. It has an unbelieveable collection of artifacts and displays ranging from Presidential Elections, to Kitchen goods of the past, to furnitire and organs, to Women in history, to Circus, to Golf, Horses, Baseball, to a fire apparatus museum, restored drug store, to incredible Military museum, to....need I go on? The docents are friendly and informative. This is an absolute don't miss. There is so much that I would probably break it in to 2 shorter visits.
