Seated right away, service excellent, food very good and reasonably priced. Flower arrangements for sale was a nice touch.

Restaurant has pretty good seating capacity in its two dining rooms. Atmosphere is ok. Lots of locals and regulars eat there on weekends, so it can be pretty busy. The waiting staff is pretty much useless. Coffee refills are infrequent, and you can waste the whole day waiting for the check. Don't go there if you're in a rush. Worst of all is the silverware. It's straight out disgusting. Something's wrong with their dishwasher, if they even use it. There's actually crud and food and who knows what else on the utensils. Never seen anything like it anywhere else. Lots of neat little breakfast places in South County far better than this one.

Ahh Ashaway. You sure have the market cornered on towny restaurants.

Brick oven is okay. I love breakfast there, but dinner has always been an utter disappointment for me. The marinara tastes like it was directly from a can and the chicken breast was fake. It is cheap though! Very local towny feel to it and the waitresses are all very sweet. Go for breakfast, lunch is probably okay, but don't go for a romantic dinner.

Family favorite Fridays during Lent. Decent portion of fish at a reasonable price. My wife always gets red clam chowder and clam cakes. Salad is good too. They don't always bring bread to the table which is disappointing, and prefer white vinegar over malt which isn't available, but not a big deal. Not shiny and new, but a hometown restaurant worth trying if fish & chips is your thing.
