We had a very nice dinner at the Phoenix Saturday evening and it's one of the best quality restaurants in Central PA. Service was great and the quality of the food was divine. Salmon special was delightful and beet salad was a nice surprise. Portions are not small and pricing is very competitive. Very clean dining room and it's nice and bright, especially if you dined here a decade or so ago when it was dark. We arrived early, around 4:45 pm and very few diners, but the restaurant was filling up quickly when we were leaving. Reservations may be a good idea if you're dining during normal dinner hours, Will definitely go back soon.

A little off the beaten path but worth the search ! Food was delicious , service was awesome ! Michelle our bartender can make a mean martini, food was very good, salad so fresh, beautiful inside and out! Love it I will add it to my new place to eat in Altoona when I return in August !

A little out-of-the way but well worth the search. Moderately priced, the food is freshly prepared daily. Delicious soups! scrumptious salads! Main courses over the top! Portions are large verging on huge. Small restaurants like this provide quality that the largest of the chains cannot match. Fresh food prepared by good chefs, and caring owners; a glass of wine; a cocktail; a luscious desert. Leave feeling full and happy.
