We stayed here on a Thursday night for a much cheaper rate than anywhere else in Allentown. This hotel is located a few miles West of "Allentown" really, right off I-78. The entrance is tucked back in a light industrial park but our GPS steered us there and there were signs at every turn off the main road(PA 100). There are a few restaurants and such in the area but most are not the chains that are staples of "highway hotels".

Check in was easy enough and we were put in a room on the 3rd floor. Our room was clean most importantly, although it was very easy to tell that this is a much older property. The beds were not the best, kinda lumpy and not firm at all, they seemed really old. The HVAC was old as well but it did pump out cold air all night which is good, upon opening the door it was like opening the door to an oven, for some reason the heat was blasting on high and it must have been 82 degrees when we walked in. The wifi was typical slow as molasses pretty much unusable for anything but email and Facebook. The bathroom was somewhat dark and much older but the shower put out good water pressure. One plus was the TV, being fed by a cable HD DTA, it had nearly 100 channels in SD and nearly all of them in HD as well which all looked fantastic.

We didn't have any noise issues as others have noted, couldn't hear the traffic on the interstate at all, and I think the hotel wasn't very full so we didn't hear anyone else.

Breakfast was the standard for Hampton Inns, all you could taste in the sausage was salt, yuck. But there was plenty of food out even with a college team eating breakfast when we came downstairs, which forced us back to our room for lack of seating.

Overall this is a much older property and if you need more amenities or want something newer consider the Garden Inn across Rt 100. Newer Hampton Inns are much nicer than this one, they are not all this old. All that being said we slept fine in a clean room so we were satisfied.

Room Tip: Didn't hear any interstate noise when placed on the end farthest away from it.

Thanks for the review and all of the feedback. We always appreciate when our guests are honest and up front. We are about to undergo a major renovation that will remodel the entire hotel. We will be installing a pool, a new breakfast loft, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and other amenities to make us one of the premier hotels in the Valley. We hope that you come back and visit us when you return to the Allentown area. I will pass all of this along to our staff in hopes that we can improve on these things and move forward.

This hotel is an older hotel and in need of some upgrading. We stayed overnight on a Saturday after touring the area that day. We wanted to get some sleep before leaving the next day. We only slept a few hours. You could hear every door slamming as people went in and out. It rattled the room. Also, there were people in the hallway talking loudly most of the night. Someone actually knocked on our door in the middle of the night. The room never got "cool" enough to sleep. It kept shutting off. The pillows and bedding were hot and uncomfortable. This is not the place if you want to get any sleep. We would not return to this hotel.

Thank you for the honest review. I just want to apologize for the noise during your stay. We usually have quiet nights here at the Hampton. When we have teams come in we do ask them to be respectful and courteous of other guests staying here. Normally they oblige and are cooperative. I assure you that if you were to return you would have a different stay. Hopefully this stay does not deter you from staying here again. We are about to undergo a major renovation which will include a brand new fitness center, a breakfast loft, and a new pool. We would love for you to stop by sometime.

Stayed here while visiting family. Clean rooms, very quiet, front desk staff helpful. Decent breakfast but a little crowded. Would stay here again when we visit. A little tricky to find once you exit the highway. Nestled in a small industrial area.

Clean. Busy. Good breakfast but limited seating. Exercise room small but great hot tub in room. Can always hear interstate but far less noise than airport or downtown location. Good access to Amish country and Delaware Gap.

Front office and breakfast staff were extremely friendly. I expected a faint smell of smoke in our non-smoking room (which I have experienced in the past). However, the room had a very fresh smell and I love that they wash the duvet covers nightly. The price was just right for our stay. Only complaint is the computer in the business center should have been a higher speed and colored ink would have been nice in the printer.
