My family and I stayed at the Wingate for my daughter's Family Weekend at College. The hotel was clean, bright, and well kept. Our rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. My family loved the comforter's on the beds. The Breakfast bar in the morning was good, However we did find that they were a little slow in restocking items like eggs and bacon as it ran out. But once it was brought to the girls attention she did here best to get it restocked. We used the pool and whirlpool at the hotel and loved them. We are definately staying at the Wingate again when we go to visit our daughter!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel over Labor Day weekend, while visiting Dorney Park. We were very happy with our choice. I had been researching the 3 closest hotels to the park on this web site and it was very helpful. The hotel is modern with up to date furnishings. The staff we encountered were very pleasant. We had a king bed room and were very happy with the size of the room as well as the comfortable bedding and pillows. The free breakfast was much more than you would expect. The pool and jacuzzi were good as well. I must say we were a little disappointed in Dorney Park....it is very small, not worth the 5 hour drive to get there, but would certainly stay at this hotel again.

My family stayed at this location while vacationing at Dorney Park. None of the local hotels are close enough to the park to walk back and forth (which we had hoped to do). The road is a busy highway, so you must drive. This hotel is very close though, about a minute ride.

The rooms were quite large. The staff was very nice. My room had a problem with the safe and it was fixed immediately. The breakfast was great. We were visiting with a group of 10 (we had 3 rooms) and the breakfast was a great start to each day. Not your typical free hotel breakfast. They had eggs, bacon, sausages, make your own waffle maker, muffins, fruit, bagels, toast, english muffins, juices, different coffees. Everything was tended to by a sweet, fast, staff member and stayed filled during the busy times. The coffee machine is available all day long.

The fitness room is not large, but had a variety of equipment in it. The pool was also not huge, but big enough.

Nice stay, I would return!

Rented one of their suites. Hotel staff was very helpful in making the reservation. Upon arriving, however, the problems began. The first was that although this is a suite, it is not really big enough for 2 adults and 2 teens. The staff did provide a roll away bed, for an extra charge after we complained. Then we saw the bathroom...it was filthy!!! We could actually see old footprints and dirt on the floor. The jacuzzi tub had black marks!! It was dirty and smelly. We asked that it be cleaned, but the staff said that there was no house cleaning staff available but promptly gave my wife rags and orange cleaner so that when she cleaned it, the smell would be better. We went down for breakfast only to find that they do not have enough tables to accomodate a small crowd. We couldn't find a table. Finally, the day before we were scheduled to leave, they checked us out, and gave our room to another guest who entered our room and then told the front desk that there was someone already occupying that room. Yeah...my family!!! When we spoke to John at the front desk, he tried to cover the error by saying that they thought we had checked out with 'speedy check-out' and that they had slipped a bill under the door in the morning. Unless hotel bills are carpet colored...????They didnt even check the room to ensure it was empty!!! At 5:45 pm I received a call on my cell phone (after they made the mistake) that they thought I was checking out earlier that day and we should stop by the frontdesk. We thought that we had resolved the issue only to find when we returned from dinner, our room had been entered and the door was left opened. Needless to say we will never go to a Wingate by Wyndham in Allentown PA again. We didnt have this much trouble at the Econo Lodge!!!!

This hotel was just great! We stayed the night before we went to Dorney Park (which is two minutes away). Clean, clean, clean! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds/pillows were super comfortable! We enjoyed the pool, which is not Olympic sized but enough for the kids to have fun. And we all enjoyed the hot tub! The breakfast that comes with the price of the room was plentiful and delicious. The kids loved making their own waffles. :o) The price is a little more than some in the area but for all of the above it was well worth it! One more thing that impressed me was that the night of our check in we went to the Drive-in movies @ Shankweiler's and got in late. I was pleased to see that when we got to the hotel the door was locked (opened by your room key) and there was someone at the desk checking who came in. Just felt safer. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel.
