Have been by this establishment a hundred times, as we own a vacation home literally just down the street. It did not look like it deserved a visit, but old habits die hard. Found them on restaurant.com so it seemed like the perfect chance to pay a visit. Stopped in after 10pm this past Saturday nite. First thing we noticed was their new sign as we pulled into the parking lot. Once inside, went up to the bar. The bartender introduced her self and asked our names. Now I've been in a fair amount of drinking establishments over the years, but never had a barkeep introduce themselves! Nice touch. Took our drink and food orders. I had a cheesesteak and the wife had a chicken cheesesteak. Ordered a side of fries. Food came out quickly, was piping hot and good. The fries were the best I've had in years. Hot and crisp. There are a number of beers on tap here, plus a cooler full of others. This place is nothing fancy, but if you're in their neck of the woods, and need a sandwich and a brew, you can't go wrong. A gentlemen came up while we were eating and asked how the food was and if we needed anything. Once again, very nice to see. Prices are reasonable. There was live music and everyone, mostly locals I guess, were having a nice time. I hope the Pocono Tap House does well.
