Reviewed June 20, 2013

My husband and I decided to stay in Ashland for his 40th birthday. I was lucky to have found Romeo Inn. Our room was immaculate along with the entire house and grounds. Don and Deana were terrific hosts and excellent chefs. The breakfasts were amazing, different each day. The inn is located in a quiet neighborhood where we saw many deer grazing. The walk to town is a little hilly, but, good for burning off extra calories from the dinners in town and from visiting the local microbrews. We will definitely stay at Romeo Inn the next time we visit Ashland! Thank you Don and Deana!

My husband and I have stayed at the gracious, welcoming Romeo Inn for 18 years. We have enjoyed every visit and stayed in each room-all are well appointed with comfortable beds, good lighting and quality linens. The inn and all amenities are immaculate, and a wonderful place to relax, with lovely grounds and a private patio, pool and hot tub. Innkeepers Deana and Don are professional, knowledgeable about Ashland and the local theater, and ready to assist with any question. Breakfast is generous, healthful, well prepared and varies daily; Deana will happily accommodate dietary requests. The neighborhood is quiet and a short walk to downtown. The inn offers off-street parking.

My friend and I have been staying here for the past 5 years and have never had a bad experience. Very nice owners, awesome (outside) cat Buster, great food, super clean, and in a nice quiet neighborhood. How anyone can say Don and Deana are unfriendly just boggles my mind. Deana is super sweet and Don has a dry sense of humor that is great. Can hardly wait for my next visit!

My husband and I recently stayed at this lovely inn.
We enjoyed everything about it. We stayed in the Windsor Room which was a large room with a king bed. We liked the private entrance which made unloading our suitcases very easy. This inn is immaculate! We stayed 3 nights and were amazed that they cleaned our room while we were eating breakfast. The breakfasts were delicious. The best scones we've ever had! We found the innkeepers to be very friendly and helpful about things to do and information about the plays.
We will stay at this inn again!

Room Tip: All rooms have king beds

My husband and I just got back from our stay in the Bristol room at the Romeo Inn and we loved it. It was our first time in a B and B and we are now going to be going this route more often! We had intended to use a living social voucher they had offered, but called in advance and found out it expired the day before we were planning to come- so they gave us the rate anyway! The room was impeccably clean and the little amenities like bath salts and robes were wonderful. The bed was amazingly comfortable, they have big fluffy towels, and they clean your room quickly while you are at breakfast. You must be ok with eating by 9:30, but we got there at about 9:20 both days and still had a lovely breakfast and were not rushed. One day we had apple french toast with sausage, fruit, and sorbet and the next we had baked eggs with a corn and bean salsa with berries and sausage. We met a lovely couple at breakfast that we talked to both days- they gave us the idea to go out to Crater Lake the day we didn't have Shakespeare tickets, and the innkeepers lent us a hike book, which we were able to use successfully! We also saw a deer grazing in the lawn our second evening there. They had newspapers out and printouts of the weather every morning, as well as coffee, tea, iced tea and sodas available at all times. We did not go in the pool or hot tub, but they offered to open them for us. They had a very cute cat which they didn't let in to the house in case of people's allergies. They did not have televisions in the room, which turned out to be relaxing for us, but they had fast free wifi which allowed us to watch a netflix movie on our laptop one night, as well as ihomes and our room had a great window seat with a view. I'm not sure about why others posted negative reviews about the couple who runs it, as they were very pleasant and did not seem meddling in any way. We walked into downtown Ashland and it took about 10 minutes. Highly recommended, worth every penny.

Room Tip: We were in the Bristol room in the main house, which had a lovely window seat and a view of the hill...

My husband and I went to Ashland this Memorial weekend for the first time. We have decided to do it at the last second. The LivingSocial had a good deal for one of Ashland's B&B, Romeo Inn, so we got it. I called the hotel, and luckily, they did have 1 room available. What a lovely, charming, beautiful place it is! It is located in a very nice residential area and is only a few nice walking blocks to the main attraction area with all the restaurants and theatres. Although, we always prefer to drive, this walk was so enjoyable that we did not use our car at all. We absolutely loved our room! It was very big, nicely decorated, really big size beautiful bedroom with the additional area with the open closet and bathroom. Everything was so detailed and nicely done. Owners put so much love in every detail. When we came, they had a bottle of wine and delicious Lillie Belle chocolate with lavender and salt - what a nice touch!. They also have robes for their guests! What can be better? - the breakfast!!! I am not a bad cook myself, but this breakfast.......!!!!!! How can I describe? Oh, well, how about poached pears with the almond and mint, ah? Does it sound like a gourmet food in some French restaurant? Oh, yes, it is. Baked eggs with cheese? - Yummy! Every morning natural smoothies - YES! But, best of all are the owners - Dan and Diane! Such a lovely couple who are so welcoming and nice people! There is one more thing I want to mention. Right in front of our room, there was a Peony bush with lots of Magenta Peonies - absolutely incredible beautiful flowers! I could not hold my admiration and I told Diana that that's the color of my daughter's wedding, and, you know what she did? When we were leaving, she gave us the vase full of these beautiful flowers to take home to San Francisco! Thank you Deana and Dan! We will come back!

Room Tip: I believe all rooms are really nice, but you always can ask Deana and Dan. They will help you to cho...

We spent two nights at the wonderful Romeo Inn in Ashland. Although it may be slightly out of the way from the theaters for some, we enjoyed the walk. The rooms are spotless and the breakfasts are delicious, although not terribly filling and there are no seconds. There's hot tea and coffee and fresh cookies available as well. A wonderful back yard contains a small swimming pool and a hot tub. This space provides a great respite after a day of sightseeing, shopping in quaint Ashland or seeing the plays. The owners, Don and Deana couldn't have been more welcoming. They provide a wealth of information about the area and the plays. As we mentioned in the title, the Romeo Inn also provides good value for its services compared to other B and B's in the area. We will definitely return and we recommend it to others.
