We have enjoyed quite a few B & Bs in Ashland over a 30 year history of visits to attend the Shakespeare Festival. At Abigail's you combine a beautiful 115 yer old high quality house, comfortable rooms, wonderful food, meticulous housekeeping and warm intelligent hosts Susan and Adam. The location is a bit farther than many, but having stayed here, we will be back. I doubt there is a nicer place to stay in Ashland at any price.

Room tip: We actually like open windows and traffic noise is fine, but if you prefer quiet, be sure you are not in the front.

Dear Larry M
Thank you so much for your kind review of Abigail's Bed and Breakfast Inn. You review means a lot to Adam and I in the fact that we know that we have made your stay with us enjoyable. We love this old house and are mere caretakers of her. She is a rich and warm house with quirks and kinks but beautiful to live in. We are fortunate enough to have inherited many guests who have been visiting Ashland, Oregon and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival fpr many years due to the closure of other inns over the past six years. It is unfortunate that Bed and Breakfast accommodation is not more widely sought after anymore. Fortunately the majority of our guests love the communal breakfast table to this day and the conversation some mornings is always lively, informative and educational to say the least. If you ever want to find out what play to see, what restaurant to visit, what activities there are to do - then sit at a Bed and Breakfast table in the mornings.
Thank you once again.
We shall look forward to your return.
Best wishes
Susan and Adam.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is grand, but Abigail's is the true treasure of Ashland. We enjoyed wonderful hospitality, comfort and cuisine.
So thankful to Adam and Susan. They are perfect host. We will certainly be back.

We visited Abigail’s on a recent visit to Ashland. We were warmly welcomed by Sue and Adam. The accommodations were lovely and the breakfast outstanding. Sue is a fabulous cook and Adam keeps the inn running smoothly. Stay here if you can.

We stayed for 3 nights.
This is a little bit south of "downtown" about a 15 minute walk from the plaza in Ashland along US 99, but with sidewalks and streetlights the whole way. So you can (and we did) walk to shopping, dinner or the theater, although during the summer the walk can be hot. (So we usually drove.)
The B&B is pretty both inside and out, comfortable, clean and well maintained. I particularly liked the fact that each guest received a unique door code to operate their room as well as get access to the hotel itself so that we did not have to worry about a key. Our room was in the front and had a balcony that allowed us to sit outside, although it faced the highway and so could be noisy. During the evening we could hear traffic noise, but not so much that it bothered us at all; if a light sleeper one might want a room in the back. (Ear plugs were provided; we didn't think them necessary.) The bed was comfortable, and there was individual HVAC control in the room.
Breakfast was a treat all 3 days -- no one can eat it all, but we tried because it was good. Our dietary needs were inquired after and then satisfied.
And, the inn keepers (Adam and Susan) were both very nice and were good for information about local restaurants, wineries and even a few opinions about the plays in town.
There is a parking lot in the back, but being on a corner lot, we just pulled onto the cross street which is quiet and had lots of parking.
The usual tea (many choices), coffee and homemade cookies were always available, as well as cold beverages there for the taking in a small refrigerator downstairs in the common area. The common area was very comfy (mind you we only sat there briefly in the mornings before breakfast, reading the provided newspapers) as was the shady front porch.
We would stay again.

Stopping in Ashland for our first experience with The Shakespeare Festival we feel that we were very fortunate to find Abigail’s. A B&B run by a wonder couple who thought that running a B&B in retirement would be the answer to their dreams. The rooms are spacey, the beds are comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful. To top it all off, the morning breakfast was fit for a King. We highly recommended Abigails and certainly will visit again.
