I have stayed at this B&B for the past 6 years while in Ashland for the theater productions. I was always happy with the accommodations but Abi and Patti have made it even better. They now have beautiful gardens, and have really improved the rooms in the house and in the cottage. There are always 4 of us, a combination of friends and family, and we love the cottage! Two bedrooms , 2 bathrooms, and a large living room/ kitchen area for conversation and games. We are vegetarians and usually have to settle for rather uninspired breakfasts, but Patti outdid herself! Our veggie breakfasts were wonderful---- we really appreciated that. The Shakespeare Festival is a must ( most of the plays are NOT by Shakespeare) but be sure to get your theater tickets early. We stayed 4 nights and never moved our car----- my kind of vacation. Everything is within walking distance, and there are several outstanding restaurants just a few minutes away.

Room Tip: I really like the Cottage; it's a separate building that's very quiet and roomy.

We have stayed twice with Abi and Patti and greatly enjoyed both stays. We were passing through Ashland from northern California to see our son in Eugene, and stayed at Abigail's so we could watch a few plays.Their B & B is within a 10 minute walk of the theaters. The house, furnishings, and garden are beautiful and the house itself is spotless. The breakfasts are extremely appetizing. Patti and Abi are very warm and welcoming. We highly recommend their bed and breakfast establishment. Martha and John

My wife and I have stayed at our share of B & B's but nothing compares to Abigail's! The house is beautiful and welcoming inside and out. Individual tempature controls in each room are a nice touch and the front porch is a perfect place to relax and chat with other guests. Abi and Patti are wonderful hosts and make you feel like a guest in their home rather than a boarder. Patti's breakfast alone is worth the cost which is extremely reasonable. Within walking distance of the Shakespeare Festival's theatres. We didn't drive all week. This is a wonderful place to stay and we will be back.

This has become our preferred place to stay in Ashland. The house is within easy walking distance of downtown, there is plenty of off-street parking, the rooms are comfortable, breakfasts are flavorful and filling, and the owners really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. For us, the best thing about Abigail's is that it's genuine. There's no pretense, no musuem-feel, just a very comfortable place to stay with two inn keepers who obviously love what they're doing.

We needed a place to stay in Ashland that would allow a dog, and we found this cottage that's run by the people from Abigail's Bed & Breakfast Inn. It's right next door to the B&B and they bring over breakfast on a tray each day. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed with it's own powder room, one with twin beds, and then the main bathroom with a full shower is off the hallway between the bedrooms. There's a full kitchen, a dining area, and a living room with recliner, couch and tv. It was warm when we were there so we ended up running the AC or fan much of time, which cooled the place down nicely. I would describe the overall accomodations as comfortable without being fancy. You are about a 5 block walk from downtown and theaters, and there are nice wide sidewalks the whole way, so you can leave the car behind at the B&B. We spent one day driving through the old gold-mining towns in the area and it was a great way to spend the day - especialy interesting and evocative were the Stirlingville Cemetery from 1863, the ghost town of Buncom, the historic town of Jacksonville (the downtown has been designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark) and the Jacksonvile Cemetery.
