I have stayed at the Chanticleer Inn almost every time I vacation in Ashland and I have no problem calling the Chanticleer Inn my second home. My fondest memories of Ashland are waking up to Ellen's scrumptious breakfast and listening to Howie's stories; not to mention sipping coffee while taking in the amazing views of the mountains and the nature. This Inn is hands down "the best in town" and I would refer anyone to it.
Another appealing feature of the Inn is the readily available Wi-Fi access and the subcriptions the Inn has to the WSJ, NYTimes, etc. Please consult wth Howie if you ever need some clarification on current affairs, as he seems to have extensive knowledge on all the stories and excellent conversation skills; I think he wakes up early just to read every story around the world by the time Ellen has breakfast on the table.
On your way out, remember to grab a handful of cookies; just remember to leave some for me as I plan on being there as soon as I can! ;-)
