Description: LARKS HOME KITCHEN CUISINE celebrates Oregon - its farms, orchards, creameries and wineries - offering dishes that excite and surprise with freshness and flavors. We are passionately committed to offering the most fresh & local ingredients possible. Larks celebrates Oregon's bounty by creating innovative cuisine from scratch, offering a unique dining experience. Our restaurant Executive chef, Damon Jones, is a master in showcasing opulent seasonal ingredients delivered daily from local farms, delighting visitors with the flavors of this amazing region. Larks' kitchen is full of many talented people including two Sous Chefs - Franco Console and Robert Wilson - Pastry Chef Terra Sharp, and many other 'food artists' whose creativity and attention to quality is expressed in every daily special. Dishes like steak, hearty soups, flavorful salads and grilled Northwest steelhead are the most popular. Other specialties include pork chops and apple and caramelized onion fondue. Ingredients like truffle oil, wild mushrooms, hazelnuts, pears, and marionberries layer in the Oregon flavor. Our Pastry Chef's creations depend on what is available that season and include fruit tarts, chocolate cake with housemade salted caramel ice cream, or cranberry-pumpkin bread pudding. Our beverage selection extends the theme of local and seasonal with a choice of herb-infused cocktails made with Oregon spirits, local wines, and beers. Larks' downtown Ashland, Oregon restaurant creates a connection between restaurant guests and our local farmers, ranchers, distillers, and winemakers. Come on in for a taste of local flavor.

When I want to go back in time and feel like I am at a fancy mountain lodge without going to Yosemite I go to larks? Larks, at Ashland springs Hotel has a wonderful ambiance , great food and a very nice bar? The food is down home American with farm fresh ingredients . I have had great pork chops! , fried chicken , salads and tasty deserts. Service is good . Be sure to visit the lobby of the hotel with it's display cases , and deco feel furniture for an added treat. Great place to take guests who want a taste of old time Ashland.

We had dinner tonight (10/8) at Lark's. It was simply outstanding. Eve our server was superb! The care she displayed for our food allergy concerns and service she delivered were of the highest caliber. The food was wonderful - so so good - easily the best meal we have had since landing in Oregon on 10/4. This was a memorable meal and experience.

The restaurant is very comfortable and nicely decorated. It is a smaller diverse menu that fulfilled all our wants and needs.

The occasion of this trip is to celebrate my daughters birthday, my birthday and the wedding of my nephew (this coming weekend). We had a wonderful time. As an added bonus to a perfect meal we were treated to dessert by the management. So nice! So delicious!

Sometime there is just nothing more to say... Outstanding - simply outstanding!

Don't miss the chance to eat here when you are in Ashland.

My wife and I ate at Larks just prior to attending a play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival a block away. The Kobe Steak served to me was so tender that it just about melted in my mouth, and the Yellow Tail Fish that my wife was served was one of the best fish dinners she claims to have ever eaten. The price we paid for our entire dinner was very moderate in comparison to meal prices at many other upscale restaurants we've eaten at in the last few years. The service was also excellent, whereas the atmosphere was a little less than we expected but still very good. We will eat here again.

We had a very good lunch here, although it was quite expensive. We had the Farm Plate and the grilled garlic shrimp. The Farm Plate was excellent and had a wonderful assortment of local artisinal charcuterie and cheeses. The shrimp were good, but the "sharp cheddar" polenta and arugula was missing the sharp cheddar flavor. There was an outstanding offering of Oregon wines by the glass, and they also provide 2 oz. tastes if you prefer. Overall, the portions are large and can easily be shared. The service was definitely excellent.

Stayed at this hotel three nights and felt we should eat here one night.
It was ok but not really that great.
The Brussel Sprouts that everyone shouts about were again ok but not at all outstanding.
Service was very good.
Could think of at least two other places that are better.

Thank Fred G
