Description: LARKS HOME KITCHEN CUISINE celebrates Oregon - its farms, orchards, creameries and wineries - offering dishes that excite and surprise with freshness and flavors. We are passionately committed to offering the most fresh & local ingredients possible. Larks celebrates Oregon's bounty by creating innovative cuisine from scratch, offering a unique dining experience. Our restaurant Executive chef, Damon Jones, is a master in showcasing opulent seasonal ingredients delivered daily from local farms, delighting visitors with the flavors of this amazing region. Larks' kitchen is full of many talented people including two Sous Chefs - Franco Console and Robert Wilson - Pastry Chef Terra Sharp, and many other 'food artists' whose creativity and attention to quality is expressed in every daily special. Dishes like steak, hearty soups, flavorful salads and grilled Northwest steelhead are the most popular. Other specialties include pork chops and apple and caramelized onion fondue. Ingredients like truffle oil, wild mushrooms, hazelnuts, pears, and marionberries layer in the Oregon flavor. Our Pastry Chef's creations depend on what is available that season and include fruit tarts, chocolate cake with housemade salted caramel ice cream, or cranberry-pumpkin bread pudding. Our beverage selection extends the theme of local and seasonal with a choice of herb-infused cocktails made with Oregon spirits, local wines, and beers. Larks' downtown Ashland, Oregon restaurant creates a connection between restaurant guests and our local farmers, ranchers, distillers, and winemakers. Come on in for a taste of local flavor.

We have visited Ashland on multiple occasions and we always like to have a meal at Larks, if only to revisit the excellent (signature) fried chicken. On a recent trip we had two dinners there. One was disappointing: while my husband's food was excellent, mine was overcooked and (seemingly) poorly conceived, with a watery and unpleasantly sweet sauce. And that night the service was slow and confused.
A subsequent visit was more consistent with our past experience. We dined with another couple and the service was great; everyone loved their food.
I wish I could explain the inconsistent performance, but we could see no reason why the staff have been having an off night. Nonetheless, we will certainly return on our next visit to Ashland because we love the dining room and the location is excellent.

It was expensive but worth it! The environment was clean and inviting. Sort of the place that
you wear a nice casual chic outfit to. The entrees were gormet and different which we liked.
It was a pleasure being there and would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Ashland. We are looking forward now to going back.

My daughter and I love to eat here before seeing a play at Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The menu is always fun because we can get local fish or salads prepared in new ways or old stand-bys like fried chicken with gravy.

We didn't have reservations and ended up at the bar, but it was quite nice, and the food was delicious. Great salad. A little expensive for our traveling budget, but the service, food, good wine list and overall experience were worth it.

I had the Crab Benedict with a Brut to drink. The portion was just right, and it was delicious. I have stayed at the Ashland Springs Hotel and have eaten at Larks before. It was a pleasure to be there again.
