We grabbed lunch at the Greenleaf before heading south to San Francisco. The sandwiches and salads were so fresh and delicious that we actually went a bit out of our way for a lunchtime stop in Ashland a week later on our trip home... mostly to eat at Greenleaf.

You can count on Greenleaf for being open when other restaurants in Ashland aren't and on prompt, pleasant service. The servers are lovely people: friendly and helpful. The outdoor seating near the creek is pretty.

The main problem is that the food just isn't all that good. We had a group of four and each of us thought the dish we ordered--whether pizza or sandwich or salad--was, at best, so-so.

We eat here once/ visit at least. A good reliable choice. Pleased with all the gluten free choices for my adult daughter. The outside seating by Ashland Creek is wonderful in the right weather.

We visit Ashland every year and make it a point to eat at the Greenleaf multiple times during our stay. We have breakfast just about every morning and dinner once there. Always great staff there.

My husband is vegan and he always finds a good meal that he enjoys. Two things would make it better. If the menu pointed out the Vegan items (or items that could be converted) that would be helpful. Gluten Free is easy to find but Vegan is tough. Also, it would probably be good to train up the staff a little more on what is vegan and what is not. For two years straight we've visited one day where we were told certain items and then come in the following day and found out they weren't. Fortunately my husband takes these experiences with patience.

I would recommend....it's a great restaurant.

MVMom98038, we have listened to your feedback and have run with it. We have printed a list of menu items that are vegan for future customers, and most importantly to educate our staff. In the future your hubby can ask for "The vegan list...also,he can always replace the eggs with tofu and opt out on the cheese on any scramble. Thanks so much for your feedback, and say "HI" next time you're in town.

Nice atmosphere. Seating styles are varied= booths, at counter, upstairs and outside. Waitresses are attentive to those in booths but less so at the counter. The food never disappointed me on the two occasions I ate there. This restaurant caters to all age groups. I can recommend this restaurant without hesitation. They encourage all diners to promote them. Easy to do but a tad bit strange.
