“Boring food with unenthusiastic staff”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

My partner had read some good reviews for this restaurant situated above the banks of Ashland Creek. It was early in our week long stay so we had little to compare it with but even then it came up short. I'll admit that the waitress was right that the hummus is good (as is the feta pate and savory olive tapenade that accompanies it with big juicy cucumber slices and a delicate white pita that is more like thin naan.) The Satay Stirfry with brown rice that my partner ate appeared healthy and serviceable but was in no way interesting. The so-called "Greek Salad", one of the "Famous House Salads" was even more boring and less like a salad than an arrangement of things, including probably tinned single dolmade, artichoke heart and garbanzo beans on uninteresting bagged greens. The dressing added little in the way of excitement. The waitress was competent but appeared to find our few questions tedious. Not a place I'd return to.

“Good salads, hit/miss service”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

This restaurant has had great salads and other vegetarian fares for years. They continue to put out quality food. Atmosphere is getting worn and service for the first time this year was less than good.

“Unique, healthy breakfast with lemon ginger scones. We'll be back.”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Greenleaf is now our favorite local restaurant. Service was great, food was healthy and delicious. They even had a gluten-free menu. Everything looked amazing. It was hard to choose. We sat inside, but you can sit outside overlooking the creek. It doesn't get any better than this.

“Go for the Gazpacho...”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

We have always loved the gazpacho soup they serve here in the summer time. The rest of the food is also super. Ask for a table outside by the stream in the back for a read treat.
