“the autumn leaves are stunning”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

If you're there in the fall, the color of the leaves well outdo those in New England. It's charming, lovely--what more can I say

“The Crown jewel of Ashland”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Ashland has it's own elected park commissioners who for over a hundred years have protected and nurtured Ashland's parks . Lithia Park is amazing in any season. Beautiful colored trees in the fall, an ice rink in the winter, tennis courts, and picnic tables,a Japanese Garden and a swimming hole. Quiet paths along the creek to calm the soul . Duck ponds , grassy knolls , and a bandstand with summer concerts. A perfect park . While dogs are not allowed in the park there is a trail named pioneer trail leading from the park office up the hillside into town that gives you good views of the park and a place too walk your pooch. There are nature walks that give you some history of the park .

“Beautiful nature walk”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Walking along this waterway is a very relaxing, scenic exercise. Some evenings there are band concerts, but the walk is not difficult and there are places to stop and enjoy nature.

“In-town Get Away”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Every time we visit Ashland, we make time to take a walk through Lithia Park. There's something for everyone in this gem of a city park. Its right in the center of town, and you'll find a creatively built play area for the kids, a duck pond, Japanese garden, bandstand, lots of interesting plants and trees (most with signs telling you what they are), and a beautiful walking trail that follows the creek and leads quite a ways up the hillside. Our favorite think is to walk the trail until it dead ends, then back track a bit and walk over to the road that parallels the park and continue the walk up until you can join another trail that takes you to a small reservoir and swimming hole. We bring sandwiches from Big Town Hero, and stop for a picnic at one of the picnic tables that are plentiful throughout the park.

“Fall Colors”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

After driving on freeways from California, the park with its green grass, benches, duck pond and orange and red leaves were just the ticket!
