We didn't stay at the Inn but we did stop for dinner here on Memorial Day weekend.
We were driving back from Crater Lake through Klamath Falls and getting very hungry. There's not lot on 66 through this area we were discovering. Then from out of nowhere this beautiful Inn with a funny sign out front appeared on the side of the road.
We popped in ready to eat no matter what they were serving and were thrilled to find a fantastic restaurant with one of the nicest inn keepers we had ever encountered.
The menu did not have appetizers. But we heard a table next to us order the ravioli as an appetizer for the table. Wish we had thought of that.
My travel partner had the steak...cooked perfect. I had the pork chops. Which turned out to be nearly the best I've ever had. A very limited (disappointingly no local wines that I recall) wine list and we skipped desert because it was a bit limited as well.
But the entrees were fantastic! The breading on the pork chops was light and delicate and seasoned perfectly. If you've ever had a baked potato that sat around all day you know how dry and tasteless they can be, these were fluffy and clean and tasty. The grilled veggies were not your usual "in season veggies" - you know mushy squash - they were perfectly seasoned asparagus and peppers.
We got a serenade at the piano from the innkeeper on the way out the door and talked about our "secret find" all the way back to Ashland.
