“Probably Ashland's best”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

One problem when you seek dinner in a destination town like Ashland is that restaurants tend toward the touristy. Not so Amuse. It manages to merge a comfortably elegant atmosphere with a delightful menu at a fair price. Dishes reflect the owners' attention to detail and effort to add a touch of originality to everything they serve. We dine here every time we attend the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

“Best in Oregon”
Reviewed July 7, 2013 via mobile

We were on a 2-week vacation through Oregon and ate at mostly open table restaurants along the way. This was by far the best meal we had. The nectarine salad was awesome, the Alaskan salmon cooked to perfection and the gnocchi so delicate that it wasn't filling like gnocchi usually are. Our delicious desserts just capped off a fantastic meal.

“Disappointing Indeed”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

We too - like "Disappointing" (July 4, 2013), had a completely uninspired and expensive meal at Amuse. It was supposed to be the start of a wonderful evening that would end with Shakespeare under the stars, and while the play was amazing, the meal was not. The front room is cramped and loud. My wife and I could hear every word of every conversation of every table in the room. The servers were cold and although the dinner was good, it was not great. The cost for two without wine was over $100. Dinner at Panera for 1/5 of that would have been just as enjoyable.

“Delicious!”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

We had a delicious dinner out on the patio. I Han an interesting salad with beets & nectarines & it was delicious! We shared the warm bengeits for dessert & they were amazing. I will go back again when in the area.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

We had dinner here and had read good reviews including how "romantic" the locals rated it. We found the ambiance cold and austere, the menu especially the drinks outrageously expensive compared to other similar restaurants in Ashland. The service the evening we were there was perfunctory at best. Our food was OK but not anything out of the ordinary.
