We (2 adults, 2 children under age 5) really enjoyed our one-night stay in a deluxe suite at the Palm Cottages during our road trip from California to BC in mid-December. The suite's sleeping areas had two queen beds--one bed was in a room "separated" from the main room by a curtain (no door). There was room enough for our younger child's travel crib. The bathroom was spacious and had a roomy shower (no tub). The full kitchen was separated from the sleeping area by a door and was complete with range top, oven, microwave, coffee maker, crockery, utensils, dishes, etc., and had a table that seats four people. While the kitchen maintained a retro look, the sleeping areas and bathroom were contemporary. Though not really large enough for the kids to play much inside the suite (which shouldn't be an issue in nicer weather anyway), we found it comfortable. Overall, the deluxe suite would be an excellent choice for small families or groups looking for a self-catering option in Ashland.
