“Comfy, cozy & cute!”

The Palm is not your average motel, it's so much more! We felt so comfortable in our cozy room. The flower gardens and landscaping were beautiful. The front desk clerk, Erin, was so nice and helpful. We felt right at home there. The Palm is a great place to stay.

Staying here while visiting Southern Oregon Univ. The motel is across the street from campus. The room is well furnished with unique period furniture and a warm welcoming feel down to the live green plant and the needlepoint doiley on the dresser. The kitchen is well stocked. The bed is very comfortable. Its still chilly and spring but the the garden is already blooming and lovely. And the staff is so helpful, friendly and accomodating to our delayed flight and late night arrival.
I feel like I'm staying at a famiily's home. There is a feel of lots of history here with the motel being around since the 1940s.
I will be making reservations early for our next trip...this is like a favorite fishing hole and there are many return customers to this gem in Ashland.

Driving through Ashland on my way to Seattle, I stayed at The Palm. My girlfriend and I had not made advance reservations. It was dark and getting late - after 8pm. We drove into Ashland and looked at the options down the main street. This one stood out for character and charm. We needed 2 beds and we had just the right accommodations. Our room had a separated sleeping area w/a queen bed and on the other side of room an other qween bed. It also had a small dinnette area w/kitchen equipped modestly. The bathroom was a bit small and dated. But the beds were wonderful and the atmosphere was charming. It felt like we were in a "summer garden in the middle of winter". A good value, helpful staff and a lovely property. I would stay here again.

Charming appearance, and room was clean, but really small, unlike the photos on the web site. Best reason to stay here is if you are visiting SOU. Breakfast at the nearby Morning Glory restaurant was fabulous.

Last couple of times in Ashland we stayed at the Flagship, and, although not cute, the room was $10 cheaper and significantly larger. I ended up puzzled by the Palm - maybe it would be great when the weather is warm, the garden in bloom, and the pool open. As it was in February, I'm not convinced.

I internet booked and then noticed the non-cancellation policy--my fault--also no senior or AAA discount -the rooms are quaint...it does have all the amenities. Bed was cheap and more like a trampoline, they had just finished replacing the hot water tank...however while the shower had great pressure the kitchen had near zero..On the back of the dish cabinet is a sign saying $35.00 will be billed to wash any dishes used...Really?? The overhead heater had a distinct smell to it...the lady who welcomed us was delightful, the best part of our stay..I would not recommend this motel to my friends..

My husband and I were really impressed with the style and beauty of our cozy room. The grounds were amazing and well groomed. We followed a charming pathway to our cottage door. Where we found our personal deck with a welcoming seating area. The room was exquisite with a modern and 50's style flare which matched the location perfectly. The bed was soft and dreamy. The room was quite, and private and it was exceptionally clean. The attention to detail was marvelous. The staff is genuine and gracious. We would highly recommend this Gem of Ashland to all our friends, family and all travelers alike. We loved our stay at The Palm.

Sincerely,
The Pina's

For the price this was a cute (but small) clean room, and very quiet (off season). However, we had originally booked to stay Dec 30th, 2010 and then had car problems. Cancelled 12 hours after booking and they charged us $15. Ended up rebooking for January 01, 2011. (They indicated we would get a "rebate" on the cancellation charge.) However when we checked in did NOT get any rebate, and were told would be an addtional $25 if we did not take room (weekend charge). They were only half full. Do not look for any office personel after 9PM or before 8AM. I would suggest not prebooking if any chance you will not stay unless nothing else available. We stayed in Best Western in Medford on way back, nearly same cost, much bigger better room.
