We did a 6:30 reservation one week in advance. Even though we called just before arriving to confirm, after arriving we learned that there would be a long wait for our table in the dining room. Upon asking we learned that we had been lied to. In fact our table had been filled shortly before our reservation time. Finally we were sea teated in the bad overflow room one hour after our reservation time. The food was ok but the fraud ruined our experience.

The Loft has become our favorite local restaurant. A variety of food choices is offered, all expertly prepared. The service is outstanding, both fast and friendly. For what you get, the cost is more than reasonable. I can not recommend it more highly. If you want a congenial French bistro atmosphere where delicious dining is coupled with informal, happy service, this is the place for you. Try it- you will love it!

Suprised this doesent rank higher with most people. The wine list is always excellent and changing. The wife does the wiating and the wine selection. The husband from a restaurant family does the cooking. the white truffle oil mac and cheese is definitely a favorite. The mini Beef Wellingtons are not to miss. Atmosphere excellent. Long narrow and steep stairs to the dining room. Have to say your last visit not as wonderful as first few. Understaffed and we got lost in the `shuffle in a side room.

We went for lunch. I had an amazing roast lamb sandwich, the lamb was tender, the bread was wonderful, there was a wonderful olive aioli spread. My my wife had a wonderful French Onion soup. We had the Beef Welington appetizer...We wouldn't get it again. The beef was tender over all the dish lacked flavor. They have an extensive and very unusual drink menu. We hadn't even heard of most the drinks. I will say the service was a little slow and spotty. The waiter was also the bartender. If you go for lunch plan on taking your time and relaxing with one if their fun drinks.
