Over the years, we've been to several of the fun musical plays at the Oregon
Cabaret Theatre. It's an up close and personal theatre, with lots of good
entertainment, and such a great idea to have dinner there first, or their wonderful
desserts during the intermission.
It's a real treat to take out of town guests there, as usually none of them have
a theatre like this back home, or even in the big cities.

We recently saw the production of the musical, Dog Park, at the Cabaret Theater. It was our first visit so we held our expectations in check....After all, when you have the Oregon Shakespeare Theater right down the street, that is a hard act to follow! We couldn't have been more pleased, however, with the experience! The show was delightful! It was entertaining, professionally- produced and just plain fun! The theatre is small so every table ( seat) is good, too.
We opted to eat dinner here too and were so glad we did. We both had the Ahi Tuna which was delicious and the Hay Pie dessert is to due for! Definitely worth ditching the diet for!
All in all, it was a great night! You won't be sorry if you add this to your next Ashland visit!

If you enjoy theater and are in Ashland for the same, this is another option well worth a visit. It is just a short drive away in Talent. I attended with my niece and two children and we all had a very enjoyable evening. The theater was comfortable. All seats have a good view. The production was creative, with lots of comings and going through the audience, which always adds an element of interest. Cast was talented. After the show the cast was in the lobby to greet audience members and made sure to talk to the 4 and 8 year olds. Nice.

We've been trekking up to Ashland, Oregon for over 20 years, always trying out the restaurants and, of course, Shakespearean theatre. But for a change we decided to try out Oregon Cabaret Theatre, which also provides a dinner if one prefers. The menu was superb, food hot and perfectly prepared, expertly served, and service in general was top notch. Our show was a new musical called "Dog Park" set in New York City's Central Park. Well executed, delightful, poignant, charming, one we'd really like to see again. The actors sang and danced as well, costumes were just right, as was the set in overall. Ours was a preview show where the all parties involved tried to work out the bugs, but it went swimmingly regardless. Please support them by attending. You won't be disappointed. The venue was also charming in a prior old church with all the atmosphere associated with that architecture.

A dear friend was performing the title role in Patsy Cline. Of course, she sang beautifully. We also found the drinks and desserts to be tasty. It's a nice intimate playhouse.
