OSF never ceases to amaze us. Always exciting theater, wonderful performances, and often mind-blowing staging. We love it--and it's not all Shakespeare by a long shot.

“Always interesting”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

We went to see the second half of the Lyndon Johnson plays: "The Great Society" and it was excellent (as was "All the Way"). Enjoyed this year's version of "Comedy of Errors", "A Wrinkle in Time"...not so much

“Worth the trip.”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

Very much enjoyed the semi-outdoor production of Two Gentlemen of Verona. Had no problem finding parking. Several restaurants close by, mostly what I consider to be fast food. Snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine available at the venue. The temperature was in the low 70s to upper 60s the evening we were there and comfortable for us. Recommend you check on the forecasted temperatures and weather and dress accordingly for the Elizabethan Theatre.

“What a surprise!!!”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 via mobile

I remember disliking Shakespeare in high school and I am not huge in to the theater but we went with some friends to give it a try. Wow it was amazing. We saw Two Gentlemen of Verona and it was really wonderful. The seats are hard so rent a pillow from the concession area.

“a little drizzle; but still a great experience!”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

We were in Ashland on a non-Shakespeare night, and saw "Into the Woods" I had trepidations after reading the synopsis, but the production was excellent! The theatre was the best of its kind I have ever seen, and even the drizzle could not dampen the experience. The actors, costumes, pacing of the play, and every aspect of the production was first rate. I can't wait to see a Shakespeare production next time we visit!
