“Hit and miss here. Learn how to cook pasta please”
Reviewed February 15, 2012

They seem to be about the cheese and salt. They have a hard time cooking consistently well. Some of the food is ok depending on what you order. Do not bother with the chicken parm. I had it twice now and both times it was overcooked i had to send it back practically shoe leather. The chicken Alfred was so salty it was inedible, sent that back. My friend had the lasagna and it had so much cheese on it the rest of the dish just disappeared. The Pizza rocks, hmm nuff said. Need to work on the pasta cooking there guys. Way to soggy and salty. Look up Al dente in the dictionary. And for the sake of everyone’s kidneys go easy on the salt and cheese most people like to taste all the ingredients.
The rolls are ok if they cook them long enough but you never know with this place. The service is very good and personnel are friendly. Atmosphere, what atmosphere. Prices are a bit to high but not ridiculous like some places in town. If the food was on par i would say the price is good for the amount of food you get but the food is just not cooked properly. Overall, the food was better a few years ago. Wont be back would rather drive to Lawton and eat at the Olive Garden

“Great Italian”

We eat here quite often. Portions are large and service is great. Love the chicken alfredo and the pizzas are very good.

“It's Good, but could be better...”
Reviewed January 12, 2012

There are not many Italian places in Altus to eat at - I am painfully aware of this. However, despite the lack of competition, I would like to see this place tweak a few things to make it better.
The first is their atmosphere. It's too bright in there. The decore is cute, but I feel like I'm sitting in a Waffle House that serves wine and pasta. They need some accent lighting with warm light to make your dining experience special - its not always about the food, but rather the event of enjoying good food.
Second - your pasta a slightly over cooked. Mr Chef, I beg of you to pay better attention to your pasta as it boils on the stove. Every time I've eated here, I noticed the trend is always soggy noodles (so to speak). Your flavors are good and your presentation is fine, now get the pasta right.

This place has a typical Italian menu. Not really anything unique - a good mix of Tuscan, Sicilian and Med dishes. Their prices are slightly higher than other places around town, but manageable. I wish their wine menu was more diversified - an Italian place that serves 3 types of red (which are French grape varieties) should consider this.

I really do like this dinner spot, but I think the owner could change a few things to make the dining experience excellent rather than just good. Overall, I recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Altus and craving Italian food.
