Front desk staff very unprofessional. They played around with the rates like we were wheeling & dealing. Complimentary breakfast was a joke, no where to even sit down. Between 7-7:30am already almost out of breakfast items, what few they began with. Very very budget hotel that tries to charge moderate hotel rates. We got in at 10 pm & the other 3 hotels nearby were full. They first quoted us $95 & that was with AAA! After we finished saying "did you hear we have AAA"? Then they gave us a rate of $84, which is still way over priced for that extremely budget facility. Being that nothing else was available we took a room there. But they are really worth maybe $50. Please don't make the same mistake we did......don't overpay!!!!

I have taken your candid, constructive input as well as your insights and incorporated them into some changes I think you will enjoy. I apologize that the front desk clerk on duty did not show you the professionalism you deserve. Your 10% AAA discount should have been offered immediately upon check-in. You will be happy to hear that we have added tables and chairs to our breakfast area and also that we have added some additional breakfast items to our free breakfast. We hope you will stay with us again in the future to allow us the opportunity to show you our true hospitality.

I needed to find a cheap place to stop for the night on my drive from Milwaukee, WI to Cooperstown, NY, and the Ashtabula area was about 8 hours along my route. The Best Value Inn doesn't look too great from the outside, but my actual hotel room was very nice considering the price level, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Free breakfast in the morning was a bonus. There isn't much to do or see in the area, and you have to head about 15 minutes down the road to see any real restaurants, but if you're just looking for an inexpensive but decent place to stay for one night, the Best Value Inn will do the trick

Thank you for your post. Your positive feedback is greatly appreciated and we hope that you will stay with us again in the future when you have more time to take in some of our area attractions. We think you might like to see one of America’s longest and shortest covered bridges, the beauty of Lake Erie, one of our three state designated Scenic Rivers perfect for fly rod fishing, or possibly one of our award winning wineries. In any event, we hope you will come back to see us again and thank you for taking the time to post your review.
