“Great place for a good cup of coffee and other drinks”
Review of Harbor Perk

Harbor Perk
Ranked #1 of 3 Coffee & Tea in Ashtabula
Description: Independent coffee shop which houses two on-site roasters that run almost daily. We specialize in roasting 100% arabica coffee beans that are seasonal and fresh. We carry 15-20 single origin varietals from all over the world and have a different light, medium and dark roast on brew every day, as well as the specialty espresso based drinks, teas, pastries, and smoothies. Free wi-fi. Great atmosphere, cool old historical building on a very hip little street close to the mouth of the Ashtabula River and steps away from Lake Erie. Worth the drive for the best fresh-roasted coffee between Cleveland and Erie!

My husband, dad and uncle ordered espresso here and it was very good! My husband knows a good espresso. My aunt originally asked if there was a Starbucks in Ashtabula, who needs Starbucks when you have "Harbor Perk"!

I don't drink coffee but they also have lemonade and smoothies which were quite good. If you're hungry they also sell a few pastries and other snacks.

I can picture this place in NYC. It is very cozy, has a lot of charm and a great place to hang out with a laptop or with friends. There are couches in the back and you get a very warm, friendly vibe from this establishment. The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean.

We stayed in the Ashtabula Harbor area and walked to the Bridge Street shops each morning for an amazing cup of coffee at the Harbor Perk. My husband and I visit coffee shops as we travel and are always looking for a specail place with great coffee. This place takes the prize for the best we have had. We stopped here each morning and tried a different blend each time and found every choice to be truly amazing. What a unique place with lots of charm and delicious coffee. Can't wait to go back!

This place roasts and brews ALL their own delicious coffee here. They hand-select and blend their own recipes of different coffee and roast them in an old-fashion roaster (see their website for a picture of it). This is a very cool place.

They roast their own coffee. A crowd that knows coffee. A guitar/singer was performing during our visit.
We are from out of town and stopped to get a quick macchiato (a real one)

Got two frappes and a giant cookie for desert after visiting Briquettes, and they were wonderful. They have a large variety of fair trade and organic coffee beans, and a comfortable atmosphere.
