“Love this place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2012

Our family has had lunch and dinner at this restaurant many times. What a treat to find good Italian food in Ashtabula! The menu is extensive. The food is always fresh and delicious. In addition to the menu, specials are posted on the board as you enter. The service is very good. Whether you have a light appetite or want a hearty meal, you won't be disappointed. Don't let the strip plaza look fool you. This place is small but very comfortable and clean. We have even ordered just dessert and coffee on a couple of occassions and couldn't have been more pleased. If you're in the area, this place is right on State Route 20, west of Ashtabula (Saybrook) and east of State Route 45. After a day of visiting the covered bridges, the local wineries or just spending time with family, this place is perfect for dinner and/or dessert!

“Highly Recommend Little Italy in Ashtabula”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2012

Hi,
My wife and I have dinner at Little Italy at least 3 times a month! We love the large menu, great food, and superb service from the staff. The 14' bakery case is filled with a large assortment of delicious desserts and many Italian treats. The wine list is modest but has some very good offerings. Grab-n-go Catering is another facet of this gem. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food was good, but not overly so. I think their Christmas cookies were a lot better than their spaghetti.

“Italian - That is not a Chain”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2012

This restaurant has an extremely large selection of Italian Meals., All meals coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful. Since we were not very hungry, we opted for wedding soup (which was excellent) and a pizza. The pizza is made to order , so you will wait 20 minutes. Dough is extremely fresh tasting. Coming from a Area that is a 'pizza' town, we were surprised how much different the pizza was. It was extremely tasty, but with it's own unique flavor. Sauce was very light (may ask for extra sauce the next time) but the combo of sausage, olives and Pepper has a unique task. They do have $7 pasta bowls , have 2 for $22 specials, and have assortments of various dishes. I think the highest price meal was $16. Absolutely either save room for a dessert or take some home. It was difficult as all bakery items looked beautiful. We opted for a piece of peanut butter pie $5 to take home, and it did not disappoint. My only problem was that I had to share it at Home !!! Will be more adventurous and try one of the many home made item next time. Place is very small and seating was very close. Not a place for intimate dining. More family oriented. Call if you have a large group...they would have to move tables to accomodate. They have a very pleasant keyboard singer on Friday and Sat. adding to the small italian atmospherse.
