This place is right out of the 1930s. Big, good breakfasts in a small diner environment. The place is small, and a little claustrophobic but it is a "good old place" for a real american breakfast. You might have to wait a little bit at the morning rush, so try the counter if it is available. I like the breakfasts a lot, and there is usually plenty at a very reasonable price. Since this is a diner, don't expect great atmosphere. It is not a date night spot (actually I don't think they are open expect for breakfast and lunch).

Had lunch at this diner on Thursday,Sept 20 2012.Landmark experience like no other.I had the special which was meatoaf, potatoes, soup and a roll. The food was great even though i could not finish it all.The gentlemen with me had been there many times over and was called by his first name by the waitress(this seems to be a common practice here that has gone way in most other places. The atmosphere of the old diner along with what seemed to be happy patrons enjoying everything ordered makes for a wonderful experience.

When you pass a non-descript place, and the parking lot is full, you have to stop! Typical hole in the wall diner with THE BEST FOOD! Beats Bob and Cracker anytime !

This is def an off the beaten path place...it has been here forever and still has great breakfast. Food is so much better then the commercial places down the road! Freds looks scary from the outside and even the inside, but if you want a cheap, big home-cooked meal, this is the place. It is always busy and there is a reason for this- simply awesome food at great prices. They do take credit cards now and have wifi!

The food is awesome. The bacon and eggs are always perfect and never disappoint after a rough night! They even have wifi there. The prices are great too. The only downside is that when the place is full and you have to sit in the back room it can be a little cramped.
