“First Class all the way!”

Fabulous B and B. Comfortable rooms with back doors that open onto decks or balconies overlooking the gardens and forest. Fresh-baked cookies and lemonade upon arrival. Two lounges stocked with cold sodas, salty snacks, coffee/tea, wine glasses and even a corkscrew. Gentlemen-height counters in spacious bathrooms with wall-mounted dispensers of soap, shampoo and conditioner.

We stayed in the Tree Room on the lower level and walked out onto a wide covered deck with porch swings and Adirondack chairs.

Breakfast on the main outdoor porch was a delicious gourmet event.

I hope I'm not leaving anything out - Doug and Jodee sure didn't when they developed this property! We will definitely return.

A wonderful combination of things that made Bent Creek Lodge a great place to stay.
1. georgeous lodge
2. great staff, and always ready to provide a tip to us if needed
3. a quiet room, with the soft and oh so comfortable sheets
4. beautiful quilts on the beds and hanging around the lodge
5. 2 well behaved dogs who love to greet visitors,
6. wonderful smells coming out of the kitchen as they are preparing for breakfast the next day, and the granola is awesome
7. beautiful deck with comfortable seating overlooking a garden where birds and butterlies fly in and out....

We are already looking forward to when we can return to Bent Creek Lodge again.

Priceless are our memories of our recent long weekend with you. The lodge and its grounds are most warmly comfortable and accommodating (not to mention artfully designed and executed!), the surrounding trees just fairly hug the compound, and the birds and the breeze provide music.

Inside, we have friendly and eager-to-serve folx (Matthew, Lisa, Tamara, Nikki (sp?) whose laughter and camaraderie as they worked together with you made the lodge a home that we felt most welcome and comfortable in.

Yours, and Matthew's and Lisa's cooking skills, and the light-hearted manner in which you interacted in the open kitchen filled the Great Room with luscious food fragrances and good humor. And the ingenuity and hard work that y'all put into prepping the magnificent breakfasts that you served did you proud and made us want to come back again and again in the near and distant future. (It was not only a great pleasure watching the cookery going on, enjoying the variety of flavors and textures you provided, but you also gave me some GREAT culinary ideas that I'm eager to exercise. GREAT Foodery, y'all. Ye'r brilliant Foodies, every one!)

Thank you very much for your gracious hospitality. Bent Creek Lodge is - by far - the best B&B we have ever encountered. You and your great people are the best and make it so, other superior amenities notwithstanding.

Room Tip: "It's all good," but were in the only "accessible" one: the Barn Room. No st...

Our camping plans in the Smokies were literally washed away and this became plan B. They were able to accommodate us without any problems and we checked in early to get a real shower and dry off. Our room was simple but nice and had everything we needed. Don't expect a flat screen in your room, but there was still plenty of entertainment options. We played board games and hiked around the property and there is a community TV and computer. It was the perfect quiet escape. The back deck is lovely to sit out and listen to the birds, read a book or sip on a beverage, but remember not to walk around naked in your room if you leave the door open for a breeze because anyone can walk by...Breakfast was good and the afternoon treats are delightful, the drive to downtown wasn't bad, mostly highway.

Room Tip: We were in the water/beach themed room, I think it was called the outer banks or something like that...

Nice place, close to Asheville but feels like your in the middle of nowhere which is really nice. They have an amazing fresh breakfast cooked every day which is never the same. We had the Wildflower room which was great but a little on the small size, but had great views from the deck of the lovely garden and surrounding woodland.

This was our 2nd visit and we couldn't wait to get there and it didn't disappoint. We spent 4 splendid nights in the Barn Room again. The breakfasts were delicious, the afternoon goodies were yummy as always and the hospitality is just the best. Doug and Jodee are special people and they have really wonderful employees, we would like to acknowledge Lisa, Matt and Tamara. Thanks to all of you for making our stay so wonderful. We'll be back. Fortunately able to spend 2 lovely nights at this wonderful B & B. Excellent breakfasts, homemade
snacks and 2 friendly dogs to pet. Minutes from downtown Asheville, yet set in a serene wooded
area, close to trails and Parkway. Highly recommend, will definitely return next year.
