Love it, will like to go again and enjoy other things of the park with my family. Maybe next summer we can do that.

Nice on weekdays, crowded with amateurs on weekends. Pack a lunch and a cooler and be certain you do not need gas because Crosswinds Marina offers gas around $5 a gallon, no beer or wine, limited supplies and their snacks consist of a few candy bars and chips. Lake is nice but Haw river and Chapel Hill area are quickly polluting our lake (and drinking source).

Unfortunately Jordan lake is polluted and in trouble. The proposed 751 project will certainly damage it further. If you do visit the recreation areas you better wear shoes. There is so much broken glass, etc. that it is dangerous. Falls lake might be a better alternative but not sure.

In a recent trip to NC, I was invited to an evening on a pontoon boat. The venue - Lake Jordan, Apex. The lake is huge - over 8-9 miles and the water is so calm and views are so refreshing. We had the opportunity to jump into the water and use noodles to stay in the watrer for close to an hour - a wonderful way to spend a lazy summer afternoon!

If you are in NC, with not knowing what to do - avoind the meaningless visits to the shopping malls and the beaches are a good 3-4 hours away - head to Lake Jordan!

Perfect location for kayaks! The beach area was just enough to lay out and get a tan, but the best part was the ease of putting in our kayaks. Clean bathhouse, well maintained park. Would go again.
