“Breathtaking View, placid water”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Perfect location for kayaks! The beach area was just enough to lay out and get a tan, but the best part was the ease of putting in our kayaks. Clean bathhouse, well maintained park. Would go again.

“Refreshing”
Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

My daughter and I rented a kayak and it was very peaceful. The people in the October were so informative, helpful, and courteous. The price is so reasonable and the views are serene. They helped us get the boat into the water and even pick life jackets. It gets no easier.
We do it all the time now.

“Crosswinds campground was great!”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

My boyfriend and I stayed at crosswinds campground for two nights in loop A. First, the price was very reasonable. Second, the campground itself was great. The campsites were not packed together. Each site seemed to offer a good bit of seclusion. The site we were in wasn't technically lake front, but there was a short path that led right down to the lake shore by our site. A downside is that if you want to have a campfire, you have to buy wood from the ticket/check-in booth or bring your own. The park doesn't allow you to gather dead wood from around the park. Overall it was a great experience and will be returning soon!

“Awesome Campgrounds”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

The park, the lake and the comp-grounds are great. There are eagles, boats, beaches and plenty of hiking. The camp-groups are safe, clean and not on top of each other. I would reserve one of the camp sites on the water. Only the E loop can not be reserved and is on first come first server. BUT the other loops can be reserved in advance.

“On the quiet side of Jordan Lake”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Ebenezer Church beach provides all the amenities of Jordan Lake except the campgrounds, but with smaller crowds and room to enjoy. The beach is a good size with a sand bottom to about 5' 6" depth. Easy access to a boat ramp and fishing. There are two modest (1 mile) trails available for leisurely walks. We came early and used a picnic table with a charcoal grill right off the beach. We also appreciated the ranger patrolling the area, maintenance workers emptying the trash a few times a day, nice clean restrooms, and a small playground overlooking the lake. All totaled, a great way to spend the day with family and friends. Note: there is a $6 fee per vehicle.
