“Lovely Hotel”
Reviewed July 7, 2007

Just got back from a weeks stay at this hotel and we are missing it already!! we're a couple aged 21 and 23.

Well, where to start. Had an excellent flight over to Bodrum took 3hr 15min - altho a bit bumpy on the landing. Remember £10 each for visa.

The transfer time from the airport to hotel took about 1hr and 1/2 stopping off at another hotel on the way. Nice journey though and got to see lots of nice views.

On arrival to the hotel greeted with a drink and welcoming staff. Checked in and given wristbands. Bell boys took cases to the rooms, gave him a £1 tip and he was very much appreciative.

Our room was in the block just to the side near the quiet pool (i imagine it must have been two seperate hotels at one point) our room had 2 single beds which we werent expecting so the bell boy got on the phone and we were moved to a double room - he was very helpful. Lovely view of the pool and sea!!

To get a sunbed round the main pool we found we had to be up at 7.30 to quickly run out and lay towels down...it got very busy around there. Don't worry about taking towels as you get given fresh ones round the pool everyday with a token card.

Main pool lovely - lots of games to do - volley ball, football, archery and many more. The pool game was always fun to watch. Pool water also a lovely temperature (compared to the quiet pool which is freeeeezing!!!!!!!)

Animation Team - Well - what can i say - they were all LOVELY!!! Couldn't fault them AT ALL!! Ever so friendly (and also quite goodlooking lol) They worked very hard up at 10 and still up in the disco at 2 in the morning!! There shows in the evening do need a little bit of improvement but overall good - the dance mix very good...what good dancers they all are!!!

Weather great - theyd had a heat wave the week b4 we went so when we arrived everyone was enjoying the breeze...i think it hit 42 one day!! Very nice!!

Food - This was one thing we were a little disapointed about it all looked very sloppy!! Breakfast was my fave meal of the day, pancakes and crossiants!! Fry up was available aswell.

I was VERY disapointed that there was hardly ANY fruit in the hotel apart from MELON!! If you don't like melon then you're abit lost!! Also plums but too sour to eat!!

Snack bar on the beach was good for burgers, chips and pizza...a bit more of a variety wouldnt go a miss tho!!

We didnt sample any of the restauant you had to book up for...we spoke to a couple that said "don't bother" so we didnt.

Turgetreis about a 10-15min walk....my boyfriend had a turkish shave which was about £5 and lasted 30min - he got SO MUCH for his money, shave, nose hair, massage, little hair on ears and face, eyebrows and an excellent close shave...would recommend it. They didnt pester us at all in the town...if we said no theyd just say "hav a nice day" - very polite!!!

Didnt do any of the thomson trips out - i think if we were there 2 weeks we would have.

I had a back massage in the hotel spa which was very good, which i enjoyed.

The starlight bar is a MUST watching the sunset and enjoying a glass of champagne!! The barmen up there will remember your drinks as soon as you walk in.

Worth having the guys take some professional photos - they work out at bout £5 each but they are good and capture you on the sunset and in the gardens.

Internet room is free.

Didnt try cinema. Got a book from the reading room.

We went to the disco one nite and it was a fun night...watching all the 16 - 17yr olds that had managed to get an adults wrist bands and had drunk too much sex on the beach! Open til 2.

Didnt wanna leave!!!! 2 weeks was needed!!

Transfer on the way back to the airport was a little a bit unorganised but we got there and the flight took off 10min early...but longer flight of 4hrs on the way home.

Would deffo recomend this hotel to anyone!! I'd deffo go back.

  • Liked — Power showes, Animation Team, The Weather!!!!!
  • Disliked — Not enough fruit apart from melon, melon, melon and more melon!!

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Aegean Dream Resort. What a brilliant hotel in a superb location. The staff are always cleaning, and they are all so very polite. Annimation team work so very very hard, and are alwasy willing to chat to you any time of day or night. We miss you Wolf, Daria, Dogan, Gemma, Bahar, Cerkan, Anil to name but a few. We travelled there with a 5 year old, who fell in love with everybody there.

Book a boat trip through Murat of Albatros Boats for £10 per person, and you can go to north or south with loads of swimming stops in the most beautiful clean water.

You can subathe on the 2 jettys, which hs a nice cool breeze sometimes, and the water sports are FREE! Good Mini disco kids do 6 dances, and the shows are good quality.

Don't do back to many hotels 2, but would go back tomorrow if i could.

just returned fron staying in this wonderful hotel on the bodrum peninsula. this is our third holiday in turkey, we have previously been to icemeler( also a wonderful place) and kushadasi( great hotel about 2 miles away from the resort ).
the hotel is in an attractive setting , with two pontoons jutting into the sea where you can pick up pedalos, canoes windsurfers and watersking. as well as the general restaurant the are three other themed restaurants , bookable 24 hours in advance, one for fish , one for italian and the last one turkish. the food is excellent and the waiter sevice is a nice respite from the buffet style of the main dining room. the food was excellent in all eateries, especially the fresh tuna , skinned as you ( and the cats ) watched on the terrace, then cooked in small thin slces.
the spa in the hotel is also brilli ant with free hamam, plunge pool etc and beauty treatments at an extra charge. this is the first time we have been all inclusive and in this hotel for the little extra you pay you certainly get your moneys worth. wearing a wrist band ruins the suntan but providing you ask they will make the band looser so it can be removed provide you keep it with you at all times as the security guards are very thorough in ejecting anyone who isnt resident
take a boat trip in the albatross boat down in the marina, they go in two different directions on different days- you will have a great day out
in the village there is a graet ice cram shop and it is worth spending some of your dosh having pudding there instead of the hotel. also , men , get yourself a shave from one of the two brothers who run the local hairdressers- anot to be missed experience
we flew with onur airlines- safe but utterly charmless staff on the aircraft and not very good food. also bodrum airport is very expensive so bring your own food and water if necessary as for a family it would work out pricey
if you decide to enquire about property in the area there is a nice british guy in turgutries, he has his own agency, who will be most helpful.

My fiance and I absolutely loved every minute of it. We only went for a week but hope to return again in a few months!
The rooms werent as big as expected but there was everything you needed. They were cleaned everyday. The mini bar consists of just water and a can of something (not sure what is was.)
Our room view wasnt that nice so worth spending a bit extra to get a sea view.
The food was lovely, im a fussy eater but i found plenty to eat. The pancakes for breakfast were lovely! I had them everyday, the honey is so much better than here.
There were various meats and veg so dont worry about having to live on fast food.
There were plenty of beds to sunbathe, no need to wake up at stupid hours of the morning to reserve a bed.
There was a breeze which i found very refreshing as the weather was so hot!
The staff are wonderful, very friendly and speak good english. They aim to please but do not harrass you.
The entertainment of a night was ok.
Lots of sports activities are organised for those of you who get bored with laying in the sun.
Watersports are great fun!
We went on a few trips via thomson reps. I wouldnt recommend the turkish baths, have it at the hotel instead, so much better! The mud bath was ok but it was a very long day, u left at 6.20 am and didnt get back till 7.30pm.
Bodrum market is worth a visit, as long as you dont mind getting harrassed! They do sell most of the same things so do barter with them! We got some really good deals
All in all i definitely recommend this hotel, not 5* but def a 4*.

what a great hotel, brochure does nt do it justice, lovely setting overlooking kos, arrived 4am checked in very quickly and luggage taken to our room and what a room.King size bed for me and hubby, twin beds for the boys aged 10 and 5 in a separate area, fantastic sea view ,huge bathroom with toiletries.Pool areas are great although sunbeds are a little crammed together, eldest one loved slides as did hubby, little one prefered little pool. The food was great so much choice and the snack bar was good for a change, pizza, chips, burger etc the fresh barbeque outside is a must. The staff here were excellent especially dogan and the team always on the go and what a terrific dancer he is,one minute dressed as a clown for the kids club next putting a show on in the ampitheatre, after the mini disco which the kids loved. The sports were good as well on the beach ,banana boat ,water skiing etc.If you want a boat trip see Mauret,he has the Albatross boat what a great guy he is,we did 7 stops lunch included from 11am till 6.30 £25.The town itself is 10mins along the front a nice place with shops, bars but dont miss the market on a saturday what an experience that is the even come from bodrum for that.I also tried the spa and they are very good i had a mud wrap, massage, manicure, pedicureand a hydrotherapy session. We could not fault this hotel and lots we spoke to said the same its always a good sign when guests return the following year.

We stayed at this hotel for a week at in September 2006. The hotel was very nice, clean and had quite a modern feel to the reception areas.

The rooms were basic, not very much hanging space for clothes, the bathroom in our room was good with a massive walk in shower. The mini bar (if you could call it that) is very basic with just some water & fruit juice. Overall the rooms were kept spotless. The cards to open the doors and also to switch on the electricity were a pain to use (especially after a session at the bar!!)

The food is good with a wide variety for everyone, we found plenty to eat with lots of experimental foods as well!. The cocktails are pretty poor at the bar, but we tended to stick to the spirits.

The poolside entertainment during the day was very good with lots to do all day long, rifle shooting, volleyball, football, etc. The entertainment in the evenings was pretty good, lots of varied shows to watch in the amphitheatre.

We would recommend the Turkish Bath in the spa (extra cost), they are so relaxing and soothing!.

Take a trip to the turkish market in the local town, it is an experience and a great place to pick up a few counterfeit goods!!.

All in all the hotel is good, but with so many other places in the world to visit I dont know If i will be back to the aegean dream.
