“Very good resort”
Reviewed September 24, 2011

We have just returned from our two week honeymoon at the Kadikale Resort. We have had a very relaxing and enjoyable fortnight at the hotel resort and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet break away from it all.

The hotel itself is located about an hours drive from Bodrum airport and the nearest town is Turgutreis. In all honesty, there isn't much around in the nearby vicinity of the hotel, but that wasn't a problem for us as we just needed two weeks of quiet chill time. If you're looking for an action packed holiday then this probably isn't the place for you.

The accommodation itself was lovely. We had a ground floor room with a sea view - it did involve a few minute walk from reception but it was worth the walk - the views are absolutely stunning. There are a variety of pools to choose from - we preferred the infinity pool although there is a larger pool available where activities take place each day, including water polo, aerobics and even dancing. Unfortunately the resort only has a man-made beach but in all fairness, they have done a good job of it and we enjoyed chilling out on there a few times. We treated ourself to a day on one of the very luxurious kabanas too where you get table service - loveeeely!!

The food was very varied - this was the first time we had been on an all inclusive break so we weren't sure what to expect - but by the end of the two weeks, we were ready to come back to our home comforts again! The main buffet offers plenty of choices and enough variety to keep everyone happy. We also paid a visit to the Italian restaurant which you have to book one day in advance at reception (but it is still free).

Throughout the holiday, we were met by John a salesman for a boat trip - he wasn't too pushy though and left us alone when we made it clear we didn't really fancy it. He was friendly and didn't spoil anything - we would see him walking around the complex at least two or three times a day!

There is also a spa facility available on resort for things like turkish baths and massages. We didn't go on for any of these, but the general opinion from people we saw was that it was excellent

All in all, we would recommend this hotel to any couples or families wanting a quiet break away from it all. It's a little bit out of the way if you're wanting to go out and explore - but for romance, relaxing and some truly world class spectacular scenery, Kadikale is well worth checking out :-)

Room Tip: Request a sea view - the views are absolutely out of this world.

We have just returned back from this resort and really enjoyed our stay. We went as a family of 7 which included 2 children aged 3 and 5. They loved the pool, the mini disco and the kids club. The hotel grounds are really nice and the entertainment round the main pool during the day was a good laugh. The rooms were good with plenty of storage and large double bed. Air Con was that good we had to turn it off at times as it was too cold. The food was good but very much the same thing each might and everything seemed to be spicy but overall always something to eat. The pool bar was very busy each night and some of the waiters were very rude and ignored you completely but some of them were really lovely and they do work very long hours. A recent review mentioned how busy it got and there were no tables and this happened every night. The first night we did have a seat and noticed the empty table with the hat and book on it and thought somebody had left them there while they went in to eat but nobody returned all evening. The next night we could not get a table and the same table was still empty with the book and the hat on it so we decided to just sit at it. The waiters nearly had heart attacks and we were told by one of the animation team we had sat at the big boss's table. Apparantly they save it each night just in case he comes in. After that we sat there every night and my son even sat with the hat on just to annoy the head waiter who made it quite obvious that we were very cheeky to take the bosses table when he was saving it for him. If you are going please make sure you sit at the hat table just to annoy him.

Good tip is to get your drinks from the lobby bar, it is much easier to get served and the drinks seemed stronger. Also the waiter does not act as if he is doing you a favour by serving you. Overall this was a very good holiday but I would say it is 3-4 star no way a 5 star. If you want to stay at a truly 5 star hotel try the Amara Wing in Kemer, the service, food and overall feeling of this hotel is fantastic. Maybe it was so good it has spoilt us and nowhere else will be able to match up.

Room Tip: If you are not very good with steps but want a sea view room, email them and ask for the lowest sea...

We have just returned from this hotel after 2 weeks and wow.
First impression of hotel on arriving was fab. Then we were shown our room which was supurb. Large room with double bed (yeah) nice furniture and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was one of the nicest and cleanest we have seen on our travels. All in all excellent room cleaned thoroughly every day with fresh towels. Only 1 remark we have is, it is not a mini bar, just a fridge for water. The grounds are beautiful, but there are many steps (100 to our room) we were ok with this but some may find it a bit too much. Food was amazing, always hot and lots of variety not too sure about the wine though, only just drinkable. Beach bar and snack bar were very good, both for service and food. My husband loved the kebabs? Only a couple of downs the infinity pool and the overspills do need a good clean as were a bit slimey. Main pool was very clean. The pool bar is one to avoid unless you are a young girl with big boobs. The staff on this bar were quite rude and very ignorant, but we found we were better off going into the main reception bar to be served by Volcan and then take our drinks outside. Also found it strange that there was no toaster in restaurant but managed without as bread was baked fresh each morning and was delicious. We also advise anyone who wants to go into town to use the Dolmus not the shuttle as it is only 3tl each. Just walk to the end of the drive and they run regular. Also towels are provided for the pool but they are very small and do not cover the loungers which are very comfy and plentiful. All in all an excellent hotel and a fab holiday will go back for another stay in the future.

Have just returned from a week in Kadikale and from begining to end i could not fault this hotel in anyway. On arrival shortly after midnight we were told that the hotel was full and we would b staying in a villa. So we followed the porter who took us back towards the entrance of the hotel and up a hill to the most beautiful 2 story villa complete with a large living area 2 bathrooms and a round bed much to our delight. As it was dark we didn't get the full benefit of our sourounding's until the next morning where we were able to step off our patio area straight into a pool. There was quite a few steps around the resort but they are managable and there are alot of rooms on ground level. The food was gorgeous every meal from spicy turkish dishes, chicken, fish, salads, breads, soups the list is endless and if you have a sweet tooth you will be spoiled for choice. As we were away for a relaxing week we mostly stayed around the infinity pool but if u like a bit of entertainment the pool beside the bar is the place for you. The hotel offered water sports, boat trips, cabana's all at extra cost but always seemed to be well used. There were show's every night and on Friday night it was a turkish themed dinner and after a group preformed a turkish dance which was really good. Bar staff, waitors and all other staff were great, we never had to wait any more than a minute or 2 for a drink which is great when you are standing in 34 degree heat. We both had a fantastic holiday and i would recommend this resort to any of my family or friend's.

We stayed 10 days as a family.
Nice location but administration is not profesional.
Manager just sit and watch.
Buildings/equipments urgently need maintenance,
Air conditions should be changed by newest ones,
Narrow and short beds,
Swimming pools are dirty and mouldy,
Showers near pools dont work well,
Stuff even gardener disturbs young womens with ugly eyes.
Everybody masked artificial kindness.
This is just 2-3 stars hotel.

Conclusion; I never advice to go this place.

Just arrived back after 11 nights at this lovely resort. View from sea view room was stunning; worth the treck up to it which did become easier throughout the holiday. The location of the hotel is fantastic with the pools, eating, and drinking areas all overlooking the sea which i could never tire of the view. There are regular buses to Turgetreis and Gumusluk from the resort entrance and you can walk round the sea front in to Turgetreis during the day but it is but a shame that there is no where to walk to of an evening.

The staff were excellent; i normally leave a large tip at the end of a holiday but having seen a comment on an earlier review decided to give little and often and this certainly made a difference as we were definately looked after

The food was lovely; i had something different every evening; the fresh pizzas were delicious and the there was always at least 6 different main meals to choose from; there was always a good selection of vegetables and the salads varied. I never tried the sweets but they looked lovely

I normally prefer the infinity pool now that my kids are older; and although the views from there were heavenly, the music and atmosphere around the main pool was really good and i probably spent more time there; no problems getting a sunbed. The entertainment team were very good; involving you if you wanted but no hassle if u didnt

Although there were many nationalities in the hotel there was no rudeness; loudness or disrespect; in fact if anything i found it quite embarrasing that the majority of guests and staff could speak english and i struggled even to make pleasantries in their language

All in all my husband and i had a really good holiday; it was one of the cheapest 4/5 star holidays we had been on but i would say just as enjoyable as the rest and certainly good value for money. I would return and would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone of any age group
