Our first impression of gardens of Babylon was "Wowwww" very beautifully built luxurious resort.
Check in process took some time but when we finally got to our villa, it was well worth it. We had booked a Venus villa with direct pool access. Beautifully furnished spacious villa with a sitting area cum kitchenette( although there were no utensils or even a kettle to equip the kitchen, hence of no use) downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Our terrace led to the shared pool.
Downside off the villa was the lack of cleanliness. Terrace floor was not quite clean and the wooden flooring inside was quite dirty and required a good scrubbing.
The Venus villas that we were in were very far away from the reception and the restaurants and we had quite a few steps to climb and a long walk away.
Breakfast buffet was quite good with a vast array of dishes to choose from. There was a pretty god kids club with quite a few activities going on at different hours for kids. Quite a few different pools to choose from, one actually had sea water in it but most of them were too cold to get into initially inspite of the scorching sun. The beach itself was ok, but very cold and pebbly.the hotel did have some water sport activities if one wanted to indulge in.
Spa was good but a bit over priced for some of the services offered.

*One drawback was that some of the hotel staff didn't speak or understand very fluent English so communication was a bit of an issue, specially the cleaning staff.
*The other drawback was that if u didn't take their all inclusive package, u were quite restricted where ur meals were concerned, there was just 1 restaurant which served ala carte menu and that was at the beach.
* Another drawback was the location of the hotel. It was 10 minutes drive away from the turgetreis city centre and almost an hours drive away from bodrum, where all the action is. Taxis are extremely expensive out there, so if u had to go to the city centre or bodrum, better option is to take the bus (dolmus) which u can catch every 15-20 mins.
All in all, the resort itself was good but too far out. Rooms well furnished but need maintainance and proper cleaning.

Room Tip: Choose sea facing villas. The Venus villas with direct pool access don't really have a great vie...

The design of the resort is really beautiful, but upon closer inspection you notice that it was built somewhat cheaply and things area already showing their age after only 4-5 years.

The Staff was friendly but the service was varied, some provided great service, especially the foreign (non-Turkish) staff. But others were incredibly slow and didn't look like they knew what they were doing (early in the season?).

There are only 3 restaurants, the all-inclusive and then one pool-side, one beach-side that have basically the same menu with a couple turkish plates, normal plates, salads and pastas. Eating there all week would've gotten very boring. A few KMs in town are much better options with better service and cheaper. The wine list is very over-priced.

Wifi was OK, but would drop out at times in the rooms that were a little further from the center of the resort.

At night the resort across the bay plays pounding music until 2am every night that you can hear even after closing your door. This bugged me a couple nights.

Again, the design is amazing, the setting is beautiful, the common spaces are quite nice, but there are details that can limit how much you truly enjoy the place.

Room Tip: The King Suites are nice, but try to stay closer to the center of the resort if you want the best Wi...

Dear guest,

Thank you for your time to share your review.

Regarding your comments on the pricing of our alcoholic beverages, we would like to let you know that the taxation on alcoholic beverages in Turkey are much higher than other countries, which is reflected on our prices.
Regarding the other comments we apreciate it and we passed it on to our management.

We will be looking forward to welcome you again in Gardens of Babylon.

This is a beautiful resort/hotel with a beautiful beach, a big pool, gardens, a spa, and a gym. Something unique about this place that it has great detox programs managed by well trained doctors and nurses. The hotel also provides activities and events that will keep you entertained all day long. Service at the hotel was very good. The rooms were very clean but since most of the interior and furniture is white, an extra attention on maintenance is needed. Another downside about this place is that its far away from Bodrum city center, where all the restaurants and clubs are. But the hotel is huge enough that you wont need to leave much.

Room Tip: 1. Be prepared for a long ride from the airport. 2. Get a room with a sea access.

Well hotel is a love at first sight. Nice design and construction. Beautifully designed rooms very comfortable and stylish. However if you stay in a Venus Villa you have a direct access to the pool. It is dirty the terrace and the pool with bird dirt. The room is well equipped except no cattle to boil water for coffee or tea. Nowadays it is not a luxury in even 3 star hotels. Beach was really dirty and not ready. Workers were around painting the in door pool and exterior areas. Not very comfy feeling.

Room Tip: If you choose to stay in Venus Villa make sure to tell them in advance to make your terrace spotless...

Dear Guest;

The month of April and beginning of May is still a pre-season because we have still rain and wind in Bodrum. This reason our pool and terrace get dirty after we clean every day. We wolud like to offer you upgrade your room for your next trip to our resort as an apologize.

We stayed at this hotel for an out of season short break and were instantly smitten with the service, facilities and the surroundings. Our 'King suite' was truly the most luxurious hotel room I have ever had the pleasure of frequenting. Each suite has a shower room, lounge and balcony on the lower floor and then up a spiral staircase you will find your elegant bedroom with a spa bath looking out across the ocean. There are also more bathroom facilities on this floor. The spa bath begs to be used with a glass champagne in your hand but only if you have time after luxuriating in the more than adequate health spa. All of the 'normal' facilities at this hotel are included in the price so should you require the gym or the spa area it is all free. We spent the morning enjoying the two indoor swimming pools (one of which is salt water filled), the sauna and the steam room. There is also a beautiful area in which to relax with individual booths and a pretty central fountain. On your arrival at the spa area you withh be given more towels and a sauna wrap. You will have to wear a swimming hat to use the pools! If you want to indulge, there are also a wide range of massage treatments available for an extra cost. This hotel is just amazing. In the summer months the huge outdoor swimming pool would also be wonderful but the hotel price would also take a hike. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for an out of season relaxing break. It was simply amazing value, quiet and the best way to recharge your batteries. A+

Room Tip: Splash out and book a 'king Suite' with ocean views - its well worth it.

We have stayed at this resort during the New Year for 3 days in order to participate Health Detox Programme. We were very happy with the service quality and the hotel management. Naturally, there were a few people in the resort. We loved the spa and the indoor pool filled by the sea water.. Due to the great service, we are planning to go back again this New Year. The complex was built as a real eatate investment project. People give their apartments to the hotel to utilize. Each unit has 2-3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room with a balcony plus kitchen.
It is much more comfortable than a hotel single room. However, we stayed one night this summer to see the quality of beach. Gumusluk is a nice part of Bodrum. Unbelievable sun sets are famous in Gumusluk. You watch the Greek islands during the sunsets. Hotel's beach in Gumusluk and the quality of water was nice. Only downside of the hotel was dirty longchairs at the beach. Longchairs were covered by beige cotton fabric and they were all spotted. The client profile was not great. Profile of clients are not suitable for a nice resort. People kept dirty but the hotel should find a solution for dirty longchairs and dining room chairs as well. We did not feel sterile in the apartment and at the beach this summer. The long hallways were hot and airless. There is a lift in the hotel building. I prefer to go to there for the winter Detox programme .

Room Tip: Beach view is better than pool view. Ask for the rooms closer to the lift.
