“Beautiful Hotel - Beautiful Location”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

Spent a night here and really enjoyed my stay in Torba. The hotel is very beautiful and the artworks all contribute to a very stylish and modern environment. We stayed at the end of the season so the hotel was pretty quiet - the residences were closed. The checkin staff weren't of the most experienced/professional calibre but the hotel manager came to meet us later. The room was lovely and large, and as far as I know the minibar drinks (non alcoholic) were complimentary. The pool was clean although we didn't swim in it. Breakfast was very tasty - an upscale traditional turkish, we also ordered omelettes which were great. The large jetty on the beachfront was a great place to sit and enjoy the view and the morning sunshine. We walked along the waterfront past the other resorts to eat at other waterfront restaurants without any issues. Voyages resort was heard in the evening - it wasn't the end of the world - I guess if you require absolute serenity this place may not be for you. Perhaps a sensory deprivation tank may suffice.

Wonderful stay in October! We had the 12 room residence section of the hotel to ourselves in this low season. Very nice and helpful staff...One went to great trouble to get us reservations at a particular Bodrum restaurant we couldnt get in touch with. Rooms are very nice, comfortable, and large. Fitness room was a plus. Enjoyed the breakfast each morning on the patio overlooking the sea. The dinner menu is limited but was great for one night. Gonca Balik fish restaurant next door is great for lunch. Shuttle to Bodrum takes 10 minutes and costs 3Lira per person and is the perfect way to get back and forth to Bodrum for dinner or shopping. We would definitely recommend this quieter area in Torba for amazing relaxation- the other nearby hotels and many we saw in touristy Bodrum were pumping music and were packed... Casa Dell'Arte is the opposite...quiet,serene, and perfect!

Room Tip: reserve one of the 2 suites with sea view and private balcony.

My partner and I spent 3 days at this hotel at the end of a 14 day trip through Turkey. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is divided up into a family side and residence side. That being said the two sides do seem to co-mingle and the "no children policy" on the residence side is not strictly enforced. Upon arrival there was confusion over our reservation as we had anticipated being on the Residence side and had a room assigned on the Family side. Anna, who was clearly the woman in charge on this property, promptly took care of this error which was not the hotel's but our travel company's. We were given a room immediately on the residence side without any delay.

The residence side of the hotel has 12 stunning rooms, a large quiet swimming pool area, and several common spaced all peppered with pieces of art. The beach area is small with not much sand but there are deck areas that extend out into the ocean that serve as a very peaceful area to relax and dive into the ocean or lay out and read a book. Most of the time we were there we felt like we had the place to ourselves.

The staff was very friendly. Again I would single out Anna as particularly helpful. Multiple times a day she would check in with us to be sure we were happy. She arranged several dinners for us as well as a private boating day (which I would highly recommend doing).

Torba is a short distance away from Bodrum and is much quieter with not much to do in the area. That being said, it is romantic and a great escape location from the hustle and bustle of Bodrum. There is also a bus the leaves from the hotel and goes to bodrum very often and only takes about 10-15 minutes. These buses run almost all night should you want to stay out late.

Room Tip: If you want a romantic getaway be sure to request the residence side. The family side seemed a bit c...

A pleasantly surprising find that combines beach holiday and art exposure. The rooms are spacious, with massive bathroom offering L'occitane cosmetics. The breakfast has a really nice variety of fresh produce, including traditional Turkish breakfast foods: cheese, fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts, fresh juice, tea. Since the hotel is small its beach area is fairly spacious. There is a sun deck on the sea with chess-longs, umbrellas and ladder entrance to the sea. The daily food menu is somewhat disappointing and boring, however there is a great fish restaurant 150 meters away, which serves fantastic food.
The hotel offers yoga classes 3 times a week, which take place in the art gallery, giving the practice a new twist. Staff is super helpful and speaks good English.

Very hard to fault. Exceptional rooms. Very attentive service. The very upmarket half of what is effectively two hotels. For a small, intimate hotel in Turkey, this hotel is unbeatable. Nothing was too much for the guest relationship manager. Excellent food and beach location cannot be improved on.

Room Tip: Both the rooms we saw were excellent, but do not expect a sea view - you dont need one.

Stayed in this hotel after chartering a gullet for a week. We were ready for some TLC. What we got so exceeded that it's hard to figure out where to start. The hotel is divided into two parts, one for families and one for adults only which includes residences. Throughout the entire hotel, there are artifacts, art, and antiquities that you would expect to see in a museum. They are all accessible to get up close to and are beautifully incorporated. The pool is beautiful with plenty of lounging around it to accommodate many. Beyond the pool, is the Aegean Sea where swimming is also encouraged. There are lounging areas with cushions and pillows under cabanas on the grass, along with a beach. The outside bar is built around a 100+ year old palm tree where you can sit and look out and the Sea. The rooms were modern, comfortable and the bathrooms big and luxurious. There were planned activities every day for children and a fabulous spa to "refresh" after 7 days in the sun. I will definitely be going back here.

This was our second visit to this hotel, having stayed in 2011 and enjoyed it so much that we came back. Situated in a beautiful bay just far enough from the noise and nightlife of Bodrum but near enough if you do want to go there to sample the experience!

Small, family run with fabulously attentive staff, we enjoyed this stay just as much as our previous visit. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the sea view suites which was lovely with a huge jacuzzi and amazing views.

Our 4 year old stayed on a large sofa bed and you could easily have 2 small children in the same room/suite rather than incur costs of extra rooms.

The little beach area which is safe for kids as well as 2 pools which our little one was rarely out of. Also an art club for kids keeps them busy and let's parents have some relaxation!

Being objective, The only drawbacks were -

Some communication problems as some of the waiters grasp of English is not great.
The menus never change and could offer a wider range of healthier options

Some suggestions to the management:

You have a great beach bar which is underused - how about a happy hour for cocktails at 6pm
How about having a couple of spare push chairs that guests with young ones could borrow

These are minor issues overall and did not detract from our enjoyment

Outside of the hotel, I recommend a trip to the new marina at Yalikavak - we had dinner at Cipriani (see separate review) and going to the Marina Club in Bodrum for an evening meal - few tourists, great food at excellent prices.

In summary, a great hotel, in an excellent location - especially for families looking for something a little more upscale than the traditional package style hotel offerings - and one I highly recommend.

Room Tip: Aim for sea view room 201
