Me and my fiancé stayed at the Voyage Torba at the beginning of May and absolutely loved it!

We had paid a bit extra to stay in the private apartments which had a separate swimming pool and restaurant to the rest of the hotel and it was sheer luxury - the pool was never too busy and the food was second to none - would recommend the risotto for starter and salmon for main...amazing! Ergin was our fave waiter here and was always friendly and cheerful!

There are 7 or 8 a la carte restaurants to also eat in which we managed to work our way round - the only one we couldn't eat in was the Greek restaurant as it was full the night we wanted to go but our favourites were the seafood, Mexican and italian - food was 5 star quality and staff are so friendly and attentive - always topping up drinks etc. The Chinese was a bit of a let down compared to the others and the Turkish restaurant service a bit slow but they were all great in there own way.

Beach was great, view amazing and our favourite bar was the panaramic bar which we went to most nights as you can sit on the balcony and look out to the sea and be served drinks all night if you wanted to! Our favourite bar man and cocktail maker, Mustafa worked in this bar and was a great part of our holiday - very friendly and welcoming and also waitress Fulya was very friendly and polite!

One thing I would add is that the Torba is very secluded so if you like your walks there's not much to see outside the resort unless you want to take a bus somewhere.

I can go on and on about the greatness of this hotel but overall the rooms are great, the staff are second to none, good amazing and drinks great quality - def recommend!

Voyage Torba is an excellent hotel, end of chat. The grounds were really clean and tidy, the beach was great, the staff were amazing and the facilities were exactly what you expect from a 5 star hotel. We stayed there from the 3rd of June to the 14th and enjoyed every minute. The hotel itself is set in a little bay that looks really picturesque, 10 minutes from the big town of Bodrum. There were always plenty of sunbeds on the beach and around the pools and the adult beach and jetty were both really good for chilling out. I've gone into a bit of extra detail below. Enjoy!

ROOMS: The rooms were really clean and tidy, very modern and comfortable. They were a perfect size with plenty of storage and the maid service was great.

FOOD AND DRINK: The main buffet is really big with loads of choice for even the fussiest eater, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was very tasty, obviously there was loads of it and you can tell its freshly made because the majority of it is cooked in front of your eyes. The roast legs of lamb and the doner meat gyro were particularly good. I do understand when people say it does become very samey, but that's what the a la carte restaurants are for. We ate in the Chinese, Mexican, Greek and Italian. The Chinese was amazing in every way, i'd fully recommend the whole menu. The Greek and Mexican were both great. The lamb shank from the Greek was my wifes absolute favourite meal of the holiday and the steak main from the mexican was delicious. The Italian was a little disappointing as the service was slow and the food came out luke warm, but it was understandable as there was very little staff was such a big restaurant and they were very busy. We didnt make it to the others but i was told the teppinaki is really worthwhile, unfortunately it was closed while we were there.
Drinks were all excellent. Nice and strong and loads of them. The barmen were really helpful and friendly. 5 star service, simple as.

STAFF: The staff were brilliant. Everyone was very accommodating, very smiley and very helpful. When we missed a reservation for the chinese, we went to guest relations to try and sort it as it was our friends birthday. Once we told the blonde lady she got us straight into the restaurant, had the table dressed with rose petals, organised a cake and sent fruit and wine to their room. Also, Regi was brilliant in the main restaurant and Seref in the chinese. Our maid, Ayse was fantastic but the point is all the staff were good, just some were above and beyond.

ENTERTAINMENT: The hotel had really good entertainment. There was a family orientated show in the ampitheatre between 9 and 10 followed by a more adult show in the sky bar after. We saw a Mongolian Circus and an African Show in the ampitheatre and they were both really good, better than the entertainment in the Bodrum nightclub Halikarnas which i would NOT recommend going to! My biggest thing here would be to go to the Angel Party on a Tuesday night in the Sky Bar. It was amazing!!! Loads of drinks, great music and if you love dancing, its the best place to be. DONT MISS IT!

All in all, i think this hotel and this holiday was brilliant. I would go back at a moments notice. My #1 biggest tip for this hotel is make the most of the all inclusive. Drinks are very expensive in Bodrum so why pay anything? Enjoy your holiday and if you have any questions, please feel free to message me.

ENJOY

This hotel is in a lovely setting at the head of a sheltered bay. So sheltered that the sea is like a mill pond - not even any waves. I think the beach is artificial - very dusty sand laid on top of shingle, which was a bit sharp for my delicate feet, but other people seemed to cope walking on it ok. No music or noise on the beach thank God, except for when aqua aerobics taking place.

Lovely gardens full of birds all around the place, the two storey accomodation blocks are set among many flowers and some rather unusual sculptures. Everything is very clean and well looked after. The rooms are small, but perfectly adequate for whatever you need, although I was very glad of the complementary slippers as the floors were a bit grubby. The bed was far too hard - gave my arthritis a run for its money - neither of us slept well because of it.

We were told the hotel was full, but even so never any shortage of sun loungers or even parasols which can be like gold dust in many resorts.

The village of Torba is very small with a couuple of shops and a few restaurants, but Bodrum is only about 7 minutes away on the bus which stops right outside the hotel and costs 3 Lira pp each way. From Bodrum buses run to all other destinations on the peninsula, including Turgetreis with its Saturday market for all your favourite counterfeit goods (beware of pickpockets though).

There are seven a la carte restaurants as well as the main buffet and a beach snack bar. The a la carte booking was never a problem, but we are only a couple and will be easier to fit in than large groups. My favourite restaurant was the Turkish, both because of the food and because the service was very good and professional. It could be a chaotic at times at the others - at the fish restaurant main courses were coming out straight after starters, people were totally ignored for about 45 minutes and other fairly irritating incidents.

The main buffet is fine. Be aware that there will be no pork products at all, there is some imitation (beef!) ham and something looking like bacon, but after two weeks the sausage craving was getting a bit desperate.

Talking of service this was the biggest let down for the hotel. It is painfully obvious that a lot of the waiting staff are extremely inexperienced. Someone has told them never to let the bars and restaurants get untidy - consequently they will spend time arranging chairs and removing ashtrays while customers are gagging for a drink. Time spent waiting for orders to be taken and drinks delivered was a constant complaint from lots of people. Also be aware that lots of the staff do not have good English. Do not assume that they have understood what is said - again many examples of this. But, many things make up for these issues. The Panorama Bar is lovely with a truly wonderful view over the bay. Inside the Panorama Bar is the Patisserie and Ice cream parlour - very nice.

Finally be very careful if you are a First Choice custormer that you don't miss your flight home. Our pick up was far too late and the flight was closed before we checked in! Thanks to the efforts of the Turkish ground staff we did board - no FC reps to be seen. Could have done without the hassle.

Stayed at voyage torba as a family 27th may to 6th june for 10 nights. The place is very nice with well kept gardens through-out. We found the staff very nice and friendly apart from one or two. After reading other reviews on trip advisor about waiters smelling of B.O i find that hard to believe as all the waiters who served us smelled very nice in fact i actually commented about that to my family while we were there, in fact some of them smelled so nice it made you want to follow them just for the nice smell. The food in the main restaurant was very good with lots of choice, but it is a bit manic so you need to pick the right time to go.We ate at the mexican and the italian they were both good but the service in the italian was slow in fact we did'nt even wait for our dessert as it was party night and had to leave in order to get a seat.Stay away from the aqua snack bar the food is awful i ordered a chicken salad when it arrived i was quite shocked the lettuce was all black around the edges and the chicken tasted very bitter so to avoid being ill i did'nt eat it, instead i went to the main restaurant and had liver & onions and it was delicious. The party night was a good night with DJ SAX and the staff work very hard setting it all up with all the lights and the entrance and putting white covers on the tables, all for one night, then they take it all down again until the week after. The entertainment after that i have to say was a bit of a let down and there is no music on in the sky bar until they have finished up at the ampitheatre which i don't agree with not everyone wants to go to the ampitheatre some of us would be happy in the sky bar listening to music. The best waiter in the sky bar is Kohan { The tall slim lad with the pony tail} he is the only one who got our drinks right and such a nice pleasant lad, always smiling, and also ferdy who works at the bar up near reception. We had a family room up near the aqua park room 5205,it was really noisy with kids screaming and crying at all hours. The room was nice but far too small for us as our kids are grown up almost, they might be ok for a family with young children as the beds are very small and even the double bed in the main bedroom is small, We much prefer the rooms at voyage turkbuku,we have stayed there 3 times and the rooms are much larger with a walk in dressing room which we found much better as my daughter got dressed in there which gave her the privacy she needs as she has to share a room with her brother when we go on holiday, and also leaves the bathroom free for other people to use. The main bedroom also has a king size bed and the rooms are much bigger. So all in all i was'nt very happy with the rooms at voyage torba i was'nt very happy with the maid service either, when you have been out of your room from 10 in the morning and return after 5 in the evening you would expect your room to be cleaned but no we had to keep going back out so that they could clean,my husband told the maid one day that it did'nt matter and to just give us clean towels and toilet rolls as we really did'nt mind that day but no she insisted she cleaned so we had to go back out again which we really did'nt want to do as we had been out a long time that day.Overall we had a good time and most of the hotel is fine just a few things that could be improved,we found the days quite boring as there is no music anywhere, apparantly this is down to the new manager, whilst i understand that not everyone wants music during the day i think the beach is big enough to have music at one end and quiet time at the other end thus everyone is happy. They had a beach party the day we came home and everyone was dancing and having a good time so if that does'nt tell the manager something then nothing will. I think some of the entertainment team need to go on a customer service course as some of them are quite rude, like the blonde one who does the aqua gym, if you don't join in you are called lazy white people, which considering the lifestyle we have i find this quite insulting. We like most people work very very hard all year and when we go on holiday we just want to sit in the sun, read a book and chill out and as the paying guest that is our choice,if we want to join in we will do.I must mention speedy on the entertainment team who is very nice he was very nice and respectful to my daughter and i really liked him he was good fun, he even came to find us when we were leaving to say goodbye. We are now torn between voyage torba and voyage turkbuku as they both have good points and they both have bad points {,although i do miss the slippers you get at voyage turkbuku very nice when you get out of the shower} ,Would i return to voyage torba? maybe but only if i stayed in the private, as the family rooms are far too small for us,but i would probably try voyage private just to see if i liked it better.

The staff are ever so friendly and are always smiling.
