“Fun filled family holiday.”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

What a great holiday we had. Nothing like some of the negative reports on here. On our first morning Saido one of the Animation team came and introduced himself to us, he was such a nice guy, and befriended us for the whole 2 weeks we were there. He then introduce us to Amanda, another fab member of the animation team, who loved and kept our 6 year old busy most of the day. Food and drink was good nothing you could complain about. The hotel and our room was very clean, bedding and towels renewed every day. All of the staff from the bar to restaurant were friendly, and they enjoyed talking and learning more English. One of the restaurant waiters called Servet had a note book, and wrote down new words and phrases. By the end of the holiday we were more like family than holiday makers, that's the way that the staff made us feel. The only down side was having to pay 10 lire for Wifi per day. Apart from that a great value for money holiday, and would definitely recommend medisun.

The four of us arrived at the Medisun Hotel not really knowing what to expect. I can only say what a wonderful holiday we all had. The staff were amazing, the place was kept clean 24 hrs a day, pool was fantastic and the food was healthy and a decent variety. Everyone there made us feel completely welcome and we made some good friends. I have to mention the animation team (particularly "cider") who were great company and made plenty of effort with all of us. Too many bad reviews are left on trip advisor, and I honestly feel its too easy to nit pick! This holiday was great value, and we all wish we were poolside listening to the music (although the playlist does need to be sorted cider!)

The staff were good, the hotel was nice and we had a great time (only a short break of 1 night) but the hotel is very tired looking, the pool surrounding needs a good tidyup, the rooms were very basic and very dark. We only ate breakfast there as the food looked very basic, breakfast was nice, the alcoholic drinks were very small also! im only staying in 4 star plus in the future as this hotel makes it clear it is not 5 star luxury.

For anyone who expects customer service and an international standard on rooms, food, service, please think again. Our lesson learned is to add a star and never settle for less than 4 stars when going to Turkey.

The rooms in the basement have mould and every room have dead insects and un-up-to-date bathrooms. The personnel don't know English and the reception personnel would rather have no guests than happy ones.

The pool is great but we don't know how how or when it gets cleaned...

Room Tip: The rooms in the basement have mould so if choosing this hotel please ask for a room on the upper le...

We have just returned from a week at the Medisun and cannot praise the hotel and staff highly enough. We had booked a pool/sea view comfort room and paid a little extra when booking. When we checked in we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel, ground floor, with no view. My boyfriend complained as I was very disappointed and we were moved, without any fuss to a superior room. The staff at the hotel are all wonderful and very eager to please, very friendly and they all have great personalities... The animation team are hilarious, remember your names and make sure you're having a good time without being "in your face". The pool area is very clean, no shortage of beds and parasols. There are a lot of different nationalities, mainly Russian and Swedish, not many Brits.....please don't be put off visiting Turkey because of media reports, Turkey is a beautiful country, very safe and very friendly people. The food at the Medisun is what you would expect of an all inclusive concept, you will never go hungry. Breakfast is vary varied and was my favourite meal of the day, fresh eggs cooked outside everyday, traditional Turkish flatbreads cooked by a Turkish lady, fresh bread, cheese, jams, everything you could think of. Lunch and Dinner, wide choice of salads, fish and hot dishes, Turkish night was great and lots of BBQ meat etc. Drinks .... Beware of the measures, I had to ask for smaller quantities! Tuborg beer on tap, very good. The surrounding area and beach is beautiful and it's a lovely walk, lots of little shops, bars and restaurants if you want to go and get your wi-fi hit, there is none at the hotel unless you pay for it. There is the hotel bar on the beach and all inclusive applies until 5pm and you can get free wifi there, just ask for the code from the wonderful Ali.

I would recommend a trip to Bodrum on the Dolmus, it stops right outside the hotel and takes about half an hour. Bodrum is beautiful and lots to see, eat and drink and shop. I wouldn't recommend the excursions, we were sold a trip to turgetreis market via the hotel rep, this was a bit of a rip off, an hour and a half bus journey, 3 hours at the market, then a stop off at a gold centre where the staff are on you trying to make you buy jewellery ...this wasn't for us..take a Dolmus and do your own thing if you don't like being treated like a herd of sheep following a clip board.

All in all, a great holiday and I would most certainly go back again and again to the Medisun.

Room Tip: First floor rooms. Make sure you buy mosquito spray and spray the rooms everyday when you go out, th...

Myself and my young family (3 children 7,5 and 3 yrs) have just returned from the medisun after a two week stay, what can I say other than we had an amazing time and will be defiantly going back next year. The hotel is clean, spacious, as for the food some people have moaned on here but you have to remember it's Turkey not England and this hotel had to cater for many nationalities, we all ate well so I had no problems.
The animation team saido (cider) and ebo, where brilliant, they struck up friendships with all my children and kept them busy all day, the kids were really sad to go home, especially my son who had followed cider around for most the holiday!!!! they also catered for the adults with darts, water polo etc.
I would recommend this hotel and area to anyone, we had a fab time and can't wait to go back. If your on a budget and looking for a nice family resort then this is definitely the place to go...
