When I booked this holiday in may the reviews were really postive, but as the months went on they were only getting worse. We arrived dreading the worst...but were pleasantly surprised! We were shown to our rooms, which are small but adequate and clean. Ive been to Turkey a few times on a budget so i wasnt expecting 4* as they claim to be. Breakfast was what I remembered, eggs, meats, cheese, bread and cereal...all fine but if you want a full english then there are plenty of places on the sea front. Viras was lovely for 11TL. We managed to get sunbeds, which reading previous reviews was an issue. They do play loud music from 10am around thr pool which isnt very relaxing. Lunchtime...the usual, salad, chips, pasta, chicken in a sauce oh and chicken nuggets. We didnt really get hassled around the pool either. Drinks were fine, beer, gin, vodka, raki, and fizzy drinks. Both the red and white wine was vile though! Dinner time was very similar to lunch, not much choice at all. When stayed at previous hotels you normally get a better variety of foods but this was very samey! The staff seemed bored and hardly spoke but I think as we went end of season they were on wind down. The rooms were cleaned every day apart from Sunday with clean sheets and towels. We only stayed by the pool one day, we spent the rest of our time at the beach. Yashice restaurant has a lovely decked area over looking the sea, it was so beautiful and peaceful that we spent every day there. We ate out most evenings, 3 times at viras which is very reasonable and the staff were really friendly also a lovely meal at kefi too, but a bit pricy. This obviously defeating the object of an all inclusive but as the food was so repetitive on the evenings and hardly any entertainment on to keep you there...why would you stay there. There are lots of cats and dogs roaming around by the pool and restaurant area which really put my friend on edge. Also not forgetting the 6am wake up call from the very close by mosque! We had a great holiday as we made our own fun, hotel is basic and clean but the food isnt upto much. Ive stayed in ortakent before which is a lovely resort area. I wouldnt stay in moonstar again and I wouldnt stay in October either...just a bit quiet and alot of things closed. Definitely worth a trip into bodrum on the bus.
