2nd trip to Ortakent with Neilson's.. this has to be one of our favs (from the many resorts Neilson's have). One of the smaller centres, which means it is super friendly, staff are amazing the Local staff can't do enough for you, nothing is a problem.. Beach and a activity staff are just brilliant too.. always enthusiastic getting you to get involved. The kids clubs for pretty much all ages keep the wee (and not so wee) ones busy which means everyone gets a holiday and they have fun with kids of similar ages. Pool table and table tennis around the bar area is great keeps them occupied when you want to grab a beer or 2.
Activities, windsurfing, Sailing, tennis, mountain biking, spa, and numerous fitness sessions, kayaking, SUP boards too, with a decent pool too. Its a windy resort so one of the best for windsurf and sailing..
The hotel is great fresh and clean over 2 floors, rooms air conditioned and have a wee balcony/ terrace to dry kit off on or sit and chill on.
The food is amazing.. catering for all tastes, so you can go authentic local foods to the comfort foods (more at home style) you might be craving for at some point..

Book early as this place rarely has any deals.. due to a massive repeat customer base.

Room Tip: Free wifi in the reception and bar areas - not in room..

Arrived for a one week holiday where people had obviously been many times before. They were being welcomed with open arms and hugs as we came off the bus (about 45 min drive from the airport).
Over the week we tried all the activities on offer as well as gaining a gold medal in the sun lounger championships.
High temps over the week, with 2 days of no wind. But we managed to paddle board and kayak.
The beach is small and pebbly so bring neoprene booties!
The watersports equipment is fantastic with a very good choice!
Top marks for the fantastic staff in the restaurant and the seaside bar!! They were all do attentive and wonderful. Try all the cocktails on offer!
Try the boat trip, the wine tasting with Turkish wines on offer and venture out of the hotel and visit the local restaurants!
To be honest I loved my week here and both myself and the boyfriend wanted to stay for a another week. Very sad to leave the friends we'd made and the relaxing chilled out atmosphere. Try it, you'll see why so many people keep coming back year after year!!

We have done quite a few all-inclusive-type holidays and this stands out as the best. The first thing that must be mentioned is the staff. Every member of the beach team, the bar staff, the kitchen and the restaurant staff have incredible levels of enthusiasm and attention to detail. Even when there is no wind they find stuff to entertain people and make sure they are enjoying there holiday.

Next is the array of activities. I have never been somewhere where there is so much to do. Mountain biking, wake-boarding, waterskiing, tennis, sailing, windsurfing, pool, table tennis, swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, fitness classes; you name it, whatever you are into it is there and it is all included!.

The last very noteworthy thing is the food. Not only is it fantastic but it is also traditional Turkish food which makes you feel much more connected to the country. It really is great.

Such a great holiday and will definitely be back!

Have just returned from another two weeks with Neilson in Ortakent. Brilliant staff, excellent food, great tuition and people who couldn't do enough for you. The room was comfortably furnished with a nice walk in shower and always impeccably cleaned. On our first week we were on the optional Sam Ross windsurfing course which was excellent and really brought on our windsurfing skills. It all seemed to work well with the Neilson set up. As for the wind, we had plenty in the afternoon for most of the time, and it fortunately seemed to be less windy when we were too shattered to make the most of it. The location is good with a short walk to neighbouring Yashi for non-inclusive nights, Bitez is a short taxi ride away and party town Gumbet if you're feeling adventurous. Bodrum is a 40 minute Dolmush mini bus ride away and not too an expensive taxi ride back if you want a speedier trip home. A trip to the Turkish barber - where they set fire to your ears (men only - I think) - is also a holiday must.
The Neilson set up was great. We took the fitness classes with the excellent JoJo, but there was also Tennis, Sailing and mountain biking.
You could keep doing things all day if you wanted, but other people just seemed to chill out.
The staff really made the holiday, whether it was at the bar, restaurant, running activities, or out on the beach.
Our second visit didn't disappoint.

Second year we have been to the Seaside hotel with Neilson and I can't fault anything. Hotel lovely and clean. All the staff and tuition is first class. Food is irresistible and the cocktail class was great fun, the Long Island Ice Tea is fab. Only problem not enough hours or energy in the day to do everything. Cant wait until my next Neilson holiday :)

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor are quieter as you don't get people walking past.

Going back two years after Teos reminded me just how perfect the Neilson formula is for people who love watersports. As a sailor of 40+ years there were still thrills to be had and for my partner, as a beginner, the free tuition made a better job than I could at getting her afloat. As an on/off windsurfer, the kit and conditions were great and for me the highlights were the two (albeit brief) periods locked in the straps, slot closed and going scarily fast across windy corner, just great. This time we sampled mountain biking too under the wing of Jordan who gave encouragement where needed and delivered some excellent rides. It's hilly though and for the first time the smallest crank cog and largest wheel cog became a neccessary if slow requirement. Kayak, paddle boards, Yoga, massage too, in fact they only thing we didn't do was tennis, just no time. Food excellent and we even did the cookery lesson with our excellent chef. The veg and fruit is just sooo fresh and full of flavour that you can't go wrong. Downsides: the wind was variable towards the end of the week but even Neilson can't sort that. Overall a great week in which we met and made some great friends too. Back soon, you can count on it.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the bar will be quieter. Some have beach side balcony but to be honest you don'...

My wife and I have just returned from an excellent 2 weeks at Neilson Ortakent. The booking was straightforward to start with. The flights were on time from UK and Bodrum, and Neilson staff met us on arrival in Turkey. After a 70 minute transfer, albeit a bit slow on a minibus, the check-in procedures at the hotel were slick. The Seaside Hotel was just for Neilson guests, so it was always personal. Our room was clean and well equipped on the first floor. The meal package was good, with high-quality and tasty food. In fact it was hard not to keep eating the delicious and well-presented fare. There was also so much to do. We mostly did watersports, but there was plenty of other activities to keep one occupied. Due to the lighter morning winds it made sense to dinghy sail or waterski before afternoons spent windsurfing. Instruction for those activities was first class and included RYA qualifications where appropriate. There was a good range of kit. It was sad to take our exhausted bodies away at the end but we aim to be back again next year. Overall, an excellent holiday with plenty of challenge on the water.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor, east side, offer pool and sea views
