My two friends and I stayed at Queen's Resort for a week hoping for a nice relaxing holiday with lots of yummy cocktails, and its exactly what we got! Rooms were lovely, clean and were nicely decorated, you can definately tell the hotel is pretty new. We were room 410 and our balcony overlooked a bit of scrub land out the back of the hotel but we didnt use it much anyway so wasnt an issue! The kitchen was small and basic but we didnt care becuase we didnt plan on cooking anyway. And every morning there was a cockrell somewhere near the hotel which woke us up but it wasnt a huge issue! NOTE..you have to pay for the air conditioning and safe, some hotels you need just a deposit but make sure you take some extra for the air con as you will definately need it! Pool area was nice, make sure you get down early to put your towels on sunbeds but even if you dont, theres usually enough, and the staff are really kind and will move them together for you if there isnt enough for your party. Food at the hotel was AMAZING...we only had lunch there, never dinner but the feta cheese salad is a must! And also the cocktails are very tasty too. I think between us we had tried pretty much every single one on the menu! Staff round the pool were such good fun and always up for jokes and a laugh which was good, we miss them and their banter lots! Only one complaint about MJ, who on the first night we were there tried to slide my friend his room key telling her to go back to his...and when she nicely said no, he ignored us and was rude the whole rest of the week...definately a bit awkward when he was on reception everyday! Have read a few other reviews about someone being rude so can only asume it was him as everybody else was so welcoming and nice! This wouldnt stop me from returning to this hotel however as we just ignored it! Location wise..perfect! If you leave the hotel and walk to the right you are almost on the beach and if you turn left you walk towards the town with a whole loads of resturants and bars! Definately visit Jacks Place, the Windmill and The Royal (nextdoor) for dinner, everyones so friendly and welcoming! Also Temple bar on bar street is good for a few drinks and a dance! If youre going to buy any excursions (boat trips and waterpark), there are plenty of shops amoungst the resturants that will give you amazing deals for amazing prices! Definately a place to visit guys i cant wait to get back!
