My two friends and I stayed at Queen's Resort for a week hoping for a nice relaxing holiday with lots of yummy cocktails, and its exactly what we got! Rooms were lovely, clean and were nicely decorated, you can definately tell the hotel is pretty new. We were room 410 and our balcony overlooked a bit of scrub land out the back of the hotel but we didnt use it much anyway so wasnt an issue! The kitchen was small and basic but we didnt care becuase we didnt plan on cooking anyway. And every morning there was a cockrell somewhere near the hotel which woke us up but it wasnt a huge issue! NOTE..you have to pay for the air conditioning and safe, some hotels you need just a deposit but make sure you take some extra for the air con as you will definately need it! Pool area was nice, make sure you get down early to put your towels on sunbeds but even if you dont, theres usually enough, and the staff are really kind and will move them together for you if there isnt enough for your party. Food at the hotel was AMAZING...we only had lunch there, never dinner but the feta cheese salad is a must! And also the cocktails are very tasty too. I think between us we had tried pretty much every single one on the menu! Staff round the pool were such good fun and always up for jokes and a laugh which was good, we miss them and their banter lots! Only one complaint about MJ, who on the first night we were there tried to slide my friend his room key telling her to go back to his...and when she nicely said no, he ignored us and was rude the whole rest of the week...definately a bit awkward when he was on reception everyday! Have read a few other reviews about someone being rude so can only asume it was him as everybody else was so welcoming and nice! This wouldnt stop me from returning to this hotel however as we just ignored it! Location wise..perfect! If you leave the hotel and walk to the right you are almost on the beach and if you turn left you walk towards the town with a whole loads of resturants and bars! Definately visit Jacks Place, the Windmill and The Royal (nextdoor) for dinner, everyones so friendly and welcoming! Also Temple bar on bar street is good for a few drinks and a dance! If youre going to buy any excursions (boat trips and waterpark), there are plenty of shops amoungst the resturants that will give you amazing deals for amazing prices! Definately a place to visit guys i cant wait to get back!

Have just come back form a weeks stay at this hotel in Gumbet. Having been going to Gumbet for the past 20 years and having stayed at many different hotels in my opinion this is one of the better ones for the money. I traveled with my adult son so having a separate bedroom was a must and also having a kitchenette was also very useful. Both rooms had AC, which we were charged for and also a safe in the room also at an additional change but useful to have. The rooms were cleaned every day and the staff were very polite and helpful. My only real problem were the lack of sunbeds and the fact that people seem to get up earlier and earlier to put their towels on them to save them but half the time didn't even come down until the afternoon, some people are just plain selfish!!! Not sure if there is anything the hotel could do about this but it is very annoying. Would go back to this hotel again as the hotel is in a good position close enough to the beach and central Gumbet with out being too noisy. Easy to get into Bodrum, which I prefer. All in all a lovely hotel in a good location at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: Not really suitable for people with mobility problems as no lifts and our room was on the 3rd floor.

We have just returned from Gumbet , this was our first time in Gumbet after normally going to Marmaris.
We arrived at 01.30am and all the staff around the bar made us feel really welcome....so much so we sat up talking to them until gone 4 am !!!,
The rooms are modern, with 2 comfortable sofas in the living area, the kitchen area was quite small but who goes on holiday to cook ?? . The bathroom was spotless and the power shower was amazing unlike many hotel showers. The bedroom was spacious and the beds really comfortable, more like new beds than old lumpy ones !!!!!. The balcony was small but fitted the chairs and table.
One downside was having to pay for the Air con, it did not say anywhere that this was payable locally, we paid for the air con as it was so hot, also having the air con meant we could keep the noise out by having the windows and doors closed, there are 2 units one in the bedroom and one in the living room.
We had room 205 which over looked the pool and pool bar, with the air con we did not find this room noisy and were not disturbed at night either.
Towels were changed daily and our awesome cleaner even did the pots every day bless him !!!
Chef is an awesome cook, the food in the hotel is reasonably priced cooked to order a full English for 9 lira ( 3.30 ish ) was well worth it.
Next to the hotel is a restaurant called The Royal.....avoid this if you like courteous staff and politeness.
Turn right our of the hotel and head for the beach....here you will find a restaurant called Zeta's, the food here is amazing and they put the tables on the beach for evening meals......very romantic !!!.
Of all the multi choice restaurants we found The Shanghi the best value for money.....ask about the meal deals......3 courses for a tenner !!!!!.
Not much to do in Gumbet and a poor selection of shops....Bodrum on the dolmus is a must.
Would love to re locate the Queen Resort in Marmaris.
Won't go back to Gumbet because of the steep hills and lack of things to do. This is no reflection on Queen Resort

Room Tip: Blocks 3 and 4 have larger balconies and possibly smaller living rooms

Had a fantastic time! The staff couldn't do enough for us, was helpful with everything. Great atmosphere in the hotel - workers all friendly and enthusiastic about ensuring guests have a good time. Food was good quality and very reasonably priced!! Lots of restaurants around hotel which were delicious - highly recommend 'Annalivia'. Location was fantastic, short bus ride into town Bodrum and a 5-7min walk to main club/bar strip in Gumbet. Apartments good size and were cleaned everyday. Had a fantastic holiday with my friends and am looking into going back at a later date!

One disadvantage: If you have a holiday rep called 'Emre' listen to absolutely NOTHING he says and do not buy any excursions from him because he will rip you off. If you want to do any excursions buy them in town from the people who are selling them on stands on the main roads.

Stayed at queen resort for 2 weeks, amazing hotel, modern rooms, good size swimming pool, Entertaiment every night at the hotel, Turkish Night is a must with good quality food/break dancers/Belly Dancers. The food served at the hotel is tasty and reasonable priced. The staff are friendly and can speak a bit of English. The maids do a very good job a cleaning the rooms, we had fresh towels every day and they changed the bedding most days and made the beds everyday. close to the beach, bars and resturants. great for couples and families and the elderly.

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same at this hotel.

Just arrived back on the 25th June from a 1 weeks holiday at the queens resort in Gumbet, we had a lovely time, weather was great, resort was nicer than we thought, enjoyed the beach area and facilities were all within walking distance. Some good restaurants within easy reach of hotel.
Accommodation was clean and the self catering room was a nice size decorated well, very sparse on utensils, which was not good as this was self catering..
The down side of our stay, was room 403, this had a balcony right next to the Turkish staff smoke shelter, so could not open the curtains at anytime, as you was always watched. Also could not open the door and leave open as your room would smell of cigarette smoke all day, and could not use the balcony for it's true purpose, as it felt like you was intruding on them.
Our welcome meeting was not organised, not enough seating, we were shuttled from a nice fresh reception area, to a fried food preparation area, snack area with no air conditioning at 13.00pm with outside temperature of 35 degree's.so stunk of fry food once meeting was over,
The other thing which was disappointing about a 4 star hotel was the poor quality sunbeds, it was a lottery whether you had a complete working one? some of the backs would not stay up, some were screwed and fixed in the upright position, so was uncomfortable for a long period of time, slats were loose, (wife nearly chopped finger off). as parts were not attached.

Please get these fixed, as we would love to come back at some point and stay again, but not in room 403.

Room Tip: don't have room 403

We stayed here for 5 nights as our first girls holiday and had such an amazing time. The staff were lovely and welcoming, they really cannot do enough to help you. The apartments are clean and modern, with all the basics covered- you get what you pay for. Cleaners came daily and did a wonderful job, changing bedding, towels and bins every day. Would probably recommend staying here for younger people more as music is played from the bar constantly from morning to evening and there is various entertainment available for people to get involved in if they wish. The staff really did make our holiday- they are hilarious and very helpful! Special thanks to Johnny, Kadim, Chef, Maxi and Ronaldo...we miss you already! It was one of the girl's birthdays while we were staying and the staff threw her a party and baked her a cake which was a lovely touch and we cannot wait to return next year! Only negative I have to include is one particular member of staff became moody and rude with us on our last day, making us feel very unwelcome after he did not get his own way with one of us! It was a shame because we had thought he was lovely until then.
