Just come back from Siesta Beach , Gumbet - had a fantastic time. Apartments very clean, huge rooms, really good location . Pools great with plenty of sunbeds and all staff very friendly, especially bar staff (Pitbull and Akon & Jake). Made us very welcome. Would love to go back there soon !

This holiday was first time in turkey and picked the right place to stay. the apartments were spotless and safe. the staff in this hotel worked so hard to ensure our holiday was one not to forget. they work long hard hours and still manage to smile and make you laugh. bar service was excellent never needed to leave table for a drink someone was always there to get what you wanted(thanks Nico) entertainment was brilliant something different every night and everyone was included in, kids and adults up dancing have plenty off fun, also went on the boat trip with the hotel would recommend this to be done and also the Turkish night is one not to be missed(thanks jd) Would recommend this hotel for anyone had no faults at all, will be going back again. thanks to all the staff for making this holiday excellent your work is amazing..JD, Nico, Pitbull, Akon and Jelo see you soon xxxxx Denise & Calvin

Just got back from a brilliant 2 weeks at Siesta Beach. This was our second visit the Hotel is in a perfect location. The staff are very friendly and make sure everyone is happy and enjoy their holiday. There is always plenty of sunbeds we used the Dolphin Bar and pool which was keep clean and always something going on we had 2 sixteen year olds and they thought it was amazing.
Day time snacks were good but we went into town for evening meals much nicer and cheaper in town. Mistral has the best steak ever. The rooms were basic but adequate TV good clean shower air conditioning was good and is a must, cooking facilities were very basic but perfect for snacks, towels could have been changed a bit more often but when we asked for clean ones they got us some. This year they had a hair dresser who was really annoying we had to walk past him to get to our rooms and every time he asked us to get hair, nails or something done. Just a short walk to town. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at back not near Dolphin Bar. If you do not like your room they will change the room for you.

We've just got back today from a 2 week holiday and our group were 3 generations and we had a 4 bed apartment and a studio, they were adequate but nothing flash.... but after all somewhere to sleep, shower and store your things!! I emailed the hotel direct in advance and requested that the 2 rooms could be near each other and at the top end opposed to the noisy end, on arrival we were happy to see our rooms were 5 door appartment right near the top pool, we could hear the bottom bar in the evenings but with the balcony door closed you heard very very little!!! Cleanliness sometimes leaved a little to be desired - our bathroom never got cleaned! Food at the top bar wasn't nice and we only managed to eat there once and went into Gumbet and found better restaurants for less money.
All in all I would recommend it and its just a nice enough walk away from the noise of Bar street but close enough to be able to walk into town.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room but near the top pool 314 is ideal and nice and shady on the balcony in the...

Have been a regular traveller to Turkey for 8 years now but this was our first time at the Siesta Beach and totally enjoyed it from start to finish. The one bedroomed apts were spacious ,extremely clean ,bright and airy, bed linen was regularly changed and fresh towels every dayThe staff from reception to bar to cleaning were friendly and courteous at all times. The only quibble I would have is the bar is expensive (10TL for a bottle of Efes)but more then compensated by the lively barstaff,Pitbull JD and Akon take a bow and the beach could do with more sunbeds.Howver these are minor quibbles and will definately be back and have no doubt Siesta will have maintained its high standards.
Don't overlook their restaurant for an evening meal,we only found out at the end of our trip that its very good value and food is excellent.

We fell on our feet at Siesta Beach apartments in Gumbet. There were 7 of us (all girls of 20) through a Jet2Holidays package holiday in July-August for one week self catering. We were assigned a 4 bed apartment and a 3 bed studio. The rooms were completely adequate with TV, good bathroom, comfy beds (except the sofa bed was a little hard) and cooking facilities. As students, we were keen to economize by cooking a few nights and found the 2 hobs, supply of pans and bowls and toastie maker perfect for what we wanted (which was admittedly only simple spaghetti dishes really!). However there were not very good supermarkets nearby if you wanted to do anything more extravogant (certainly no fresh produce sold).

The staff in the hotel were friendly and mostly helpful. Indeed, like we discovered of the Turkish men in the streets, the waiters in the lower pool bar were a bit over-friendly for our tastes; keen to flirt with the English young ladies. We spent all our time at the top pool to avoid them really, which I would definitely recommend anyway for superior views of the sea and Gumbet bay. We had a bit of a disaster with the food in the top pool bar though as we had to wait a long time and then the food was poor quality.

Gumbet as an area was superb. Siesta Beach hotel lands you right on the beach where there are watersports and within safe strolling distance of the centre. Bodrum (a 15 minute 3 Lira bus ride away) is much bigger however much more expensive. Gumbet nightlife was plenty for us with a strip of bars and clubs and restaurants. ALWAYS haggle with every shop keeper and restaurant owner for the good deals. We found that simply by walking past the restaurants allowed us to scoop up offers such as 15, 20% off the meal and free drinks!

As for Jet2Holidays our rep was lovely and knowledgeable. We booked a waterpark trip with her which was very well organised and cheap. However the trip to a Catamaran by night (which we thought to be a booze cruise) was a disaster. We got dropped in the middle of Bodrum by a bus with no clue where to go. Having finally found the entrance to the Catamaran we found it almost empty and charging extortionate prices for drinks - we didn't bother even getting on.

But all round we would certainly recommend siesta Beach Apartments for a family break, friends holiday or couples as it has something for everyone and is very safe.
